“Swimmer in Motion”

My entry for Alpha Connect Day 2026 – Maldives Edition, awarded Country Runner-Up.

While exploring different ways to capture motion around Hulhumalé, I came across this moment during a swimming practice session, a scene that naturally stood out.

Motion is a theme I naturally connect with. Capturing this frame brought back a familiar feeling behind the lens.

Shot straight out of camera, as the competition did not allow any editing or cropping.

Congratulations to Taj Burrow () from Australia 🇦🇺 for clinching the 2024 fsmaldives Surfing Champions Trophy for an incredible third time! A true legend, Taj dominated the waves to reclaim the title he first won in 2016 and again in 2017. What an epic achievement!
