This is to all the boys and men out there. Let today be your special day. Let today be the day you get praised, pampered and protected. To get all the love you deserve. For once to let go of all the burdens and expectations the society has put upon you.

When was the last time you opened up about how you really felt? When was the last time you told someone that you need a hug? When was the last time you let out your emotions instead of suppressing them? When was the last time you were simply a human being with happiness, sorrow, heartbreak, love, anger, insecurities and fears instead of playing the role of a ‘MAN’ the society has constructed for you?

And last but not the least..when was the last time you actually broke a chip of that 6 inch steel wall around you to let out a speck of your feelings, only for them to be shoved back at your face because ‘a man CAN’T be emotional? A man SHOULDN’T get hurt? A man MUST NOT have insecurities? A man DOES NOT fear anything?’

Let today be the day us ladies try to understand our men and understand what they feel. Let them come to you. And when they do..dont turn them a way. Hear what they have to say. Be kind. Be nice. Give your shoulder for them to lean on when they feel tired, defeated or helpless. Open your arms and pull them to your embrace when they look like they need some love and comfort. Make them feel human.

This is to all the men who have carefree smile on their face all day only to go home to feeling alone, no where to belong to. This is to all the men who wake up feeling they cant go on like this anymore. But struggle to do so anyways because its ‘expected’ of them because they are MEN.

Today is International Mens Day 2020 and let today be the day we accept our men just for who they are and make them feel whats it like to simply be human again.
