In observance of World Blood Donor Day 2026, Tree Top Hospital proudly conducted a Blood Donation Camp at Island Resort on 14 June 2026.

The initiative served as a meaningful reminder of the life-saving power of blood donation and the difference that compassionate individuals can make through a simple act of giving.

Our recent Continuing Medical Education (CME) session, presented by Clinical Dietitian Aminath Iasha, APD, alongside Dietetic Student Aisha Ali Saleem, explored the topic “Medical Nutrition Therapy for Hospitalised Patients.”

The session highlighted the prevalence and clinical impact of malnutrition among hospitalised patients, emphasizing its association with delayed recovery, increased complications, prolonged hospital stays, and poorer overall health

Participants gained insights into the importance of early nutrition screening, as well as the role of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) by dietitians in assessing and diagnosing malnutrition and developing individualised nutrition care plans. The discussion also reinforced the multidisciplinary nature of nutrition care, underscoring the shared responsibility of healthcare professionals in supporting optimal patient outcomes.
