Charles Horton Cooley, an American sociologist at the start of the 20th century, said: “I am not who you think I am; I am not who I think I am; I am who I think you think I am“, a statement which helps to capture the complexity identity.

When individuals look to develop their self-awareness and character, they may spend time challenging how they see themselves. When doing so, it’s important to challenge how you think others see you as well.

Interestingly, this is something that the coaching industry also tries to help people do as well.

We didn’t come out of the womb unsure of our cry or insecure about our image. We came out blissfully unaware of external judgement, concerned only with our own experience and needs.

As we grow up, we 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 and try to fit into the world as best we can. We yearn to be grounded in who we are, so we 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽 of defining ourselves by what 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘂𝘀.

We began to realize that we had many beliefs that were etched into our brain. Beliefs that we never thought and dare to question. These beliefs also 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 our ability to 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 and to 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆.

We all have big dreams, and we all strive to achieve them. However, what prevents most of us from taking the first step, is not failure, but rather fear of failure and uncertainty about the future.

We often feel apprehensive of what lies ahead while achieving our dreams. We doubt our own strengths and do not trust ourselves and our instincts.

Sometimes it’s our thoughts that produce fears, and 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 produces 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝘁𝘀. Fear of failure makes you doubt your abilities and potential.

Most important is to determine whether our 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 or simply a 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Even when we fail, we’re still gaining experience. On the other hand, we gain nothing when we refuse to put our best foot forward.

Embrace these challenges and let them help you to discover your unexplored potential.

In order to overcome challenges, it is essential for you to challenge them back.

Believe in your inner strengths, and realize that everything you will ever need is within you.

How many times you’re told that to get your head out of the clouds, come down to Earth and ask you to stop dreaming because they’ll never come true.

Sometimes these voices come from others, and sometimes they come from yourself.

Too often we diminish the importance of our dreams by saying:

“𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥."
“𝘔𝘺 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳."
Or… the best one:
“𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙞𝙩𝙨'𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙮."

Your dreams are magic, and if respected, nurtured and honored, you ultimately bring an abundance of meaning and purpose to your lives.

Allow your spirit to 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆.

You’ll see.

Then, you see the effect of your collision.
People starts following you … imitating you.

When we fail over and over at something that seems easy to others, it’s nearly impossible to believe in ourselves.

That’s because we feel our weaknesses more keenly. They are 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗱 in our 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱, 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲, 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲.

“𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴" quickly escalates to, “𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨!"

The good news is that everyone has weaknesses — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀.

The solution to start building confidence is:

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿.

When we shift our focus to develop our strengths, we’ll effortlessly feel more competent and confident.

And when we put effort into developing our natural abilities, 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 "𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘀𝘀".😎

To make real change in our life, we’ve to step out of our cozy box and do things differently.

We've had this whole life to experiment with who we are.
It’s our life and we don’t need to live it to anyone’s expectations but our own.

The magic happens when we’re truly lit up and in alignment with our inner-being, weirdness and uniqueness, we’ll start believing in our abilities, our worth and potentials.

Zuuiiiiiiieee zwwwiiiiinnn. We all know this sound. We know the discomfort it can produce during our much-needed and desired sleep. Surtou si to extra fatiguer.

This amazing little creature is even 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 than we think. Its 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 can teach us more than what we could ever have imagined…

Mosquitoes take this too far, yet they teach us that 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁.

Mosquitoes take the risk of fighting with a creature which is enormously much bigger than them. Yet, they take the risk to get into our ear, or trying to suck all of our blood.

If a pea-sized creature can give its maximum effort, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘦?

They don’t even try too hard to go all in, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁.

Risk-taking is one of those much-feared things. It’s totally natural, for 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲 is difficult and 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Yet risk-taking is certainly the best way to 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 and 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

If we think powerful CEO’s, successful Entrepreneurs, and world-class performers are born confident… not always the case. Most of the time, it's a no.

Without confidence, we can’t close the deals at work.

Without confidence in ourselves, we’ll stay at a job we hate forever.

Without confidence, we’ll be pushed around by the world.

But confidence isn’t something we are born with, it’s something we 𝗖𝗔𝗡 acquire.

Confidence is simply a habit that is developed over time.

Yes.

𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 is the 𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦.

Discipline in how we view disappointments of the past and somehow find enough strength to keep trying when it seems the world is hell bent on placing one obstacle after another in our way.

Discipline in taking whatever steps are needed to learn.

Remember, confidence is built up and acquired over time.

If we want to be successful in life, we need to be confident. 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, and 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲.

Take some baby steps to
✔︎ Keep trying,
✔︎ Keep moving forward,
✔︎ Keep getting better one step at a time.

That is the mantra of self-discipline, and therein lies the best way, the only way.

Each time we fail, start all over again, and we will grow ... The 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 in 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 is truly the most powerful of them all.

When we miss some days of planning, our days properly, or eat junk for a week because of various celebrations, or fall off from our diet, instead of making that, meaning that this is a waste of time or that we somehow suck... we can look at it as a Fresh Start.

One of the biggest obstacles to sticking with a habit change, a new system, a goal or long-term project ... is that we get disrupted.

Something interrupts our progress, we skip a workout day or two, and then a little programming in our brains turns that into a message of how we're not good enough, we can't do it, we simply should give up.

We can see the plan or project with fresh eyes, as if we'd never seen it before, and bring a sense of grace, wonder and curiosity to what we're doing.

We can learn something from the past failure or disruption, and use this new start as a way to get better at that difficulty, armed with this new information, so that starting all over again becomes a new opportunity to learn, grow, evolve and get better at something.

We get to 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘯 ourselves, 𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 what we're taking on, and 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘦 what we want to make our lives to be.

The beautiful thing is that a 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗲𝘄 is available to us not only when we get stumbled ... but in every moment. Every day. Every new project or workout or work session. Every new meeting with someone, every new conversation.

“When you’re the only sane person, you look like the only insane person”; this line Criss Jami, existentialist philosopher and American poet, once said.

Most of our lives we’re told that it’s better to fit in than to stand out, this is not how we should be spending our lives, we need to rather be seen, the shining beacon for others to follow.

We shouldn’t settle for being ordinary when we can live life being extraordinary. When we think of standing out, they immediately think of our looks – do we blend into societal norms?

Often, we see people afraid to showcase their uniqueness, fearing that they’ll be left behind or fail to blend in.

We consider the “showcasing of uniqueness” as an act of egotism, but it is much more than that.

It’s not always about showing off or being egotistical.

It’s about being comfortable in one’s own skin because lowering one’s perspective about oneself is the same as destroying one’s own self.

The legends we speak of today are called 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 for a reason.

They did what no one thought could be done. They showed the 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 over the 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆.

What if Einstein chose to agree with his peers? What if Tony Robbins or Mandela chose to be oppressed? Would the world we live in today be the same?

When we find ourselves on the side of the majority, we should pause and reflect.

We might be going along with the mob. We might have turned off our own mind. We might be muting our true colors.

Our job as philosophers, as thinkers, as citizens, is not to go along to get along.

We are not just another replaceable thread in an otherwise unremarkable garment.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵. 𝗧𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻.

And in so doing, we make the most beautiful contribution of all.

𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. It’s one of the most underrated virtues of our time. We emphasize the importance of being smart, working hard, or being strong… but in our experience,

We shouldn’t forget the times that people were and still are exceptionally kind to us.

𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: If we wait until others are nice to us before we’re nice to them, it might be a long wait. Especially if they’re waiting for us to be kind to them first.

Think about that moment. How do you break the deadlock?

If everyone is waiting for someone else to be kind before they are kind in return, that’s going to be a pretty messed up world, wouldn’t it?

We live in a fast-paced world; we’re always on the go. We’ve conditioned ourselves to
overlook many things in life - to shrug it off, roll our eyes and walk away simply.

But if you're awesome in and out, why not let that part of you sparkle through?

Respect each other, radiate love, and treat everyone with kindness. And it will always, always make the world a more beautiful place.

Each of us is the result of everything in our lives up to this point. What we are, has been influenced by everyone we’ve known since we’re born and by every other person who has touched our lives since.

Sometimes it’s just human nature, so many no’s, closed doors can break ambition and set our sights on our dreams as lofty unrealistic goals.

People are capable of extraordinary things and we often let inconveniences get in our way.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲.

Why not get to know yourself better.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹!

The amazing thing about life is how few restrictions exist on our lives. We each have the potential within us to determine what we are, what we do, and who we are becoming.

We do these things moment by moment by what we think and do. That means 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀.

From each of our life experiences, we are capable of learning far more, doing far more, achieving far more, and becoming far more than we are or have been!

As Thomas A. Edison has once said:
“If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.”

Care to step onto the journey where you’ll discover your inner talents, skills, and best of yourself…

I’m hearing people quoting those lines are resonating in my mind like a rap song:
“I have no choice.”.
“I must be like this”,
“I need to do that to start.”
“I have no other option.”
“For me, that’s the reality"
"I can't, you don't understand"

MEI NOOOONNNNN!!!

You might say it’s getting philosophical but you need to hear this. Keep reading…

Some most common situations are when people are in a job they dislike, a relationship that is killing them,

They remain in a situation they hate because they need a stable income to support their expenses or the famous
“𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘺!”

While people may think that they have “𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲” I beg to differ. All of us always have choices, and we are exercising them every day, every minute, and every second.

I just feel like telling you that the very nature of us as human beings is the ability to make choices. But you deleted this ability either Your parents,
Your boss,
Your culture,

Your grandparents,
or 𝘒𝘐 𝘋𝘐𝘔𝘖𝘜𝘕 𝘗𝘖𝘜 𝘋𝘐𝘙???

Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 of the past or a 𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 of the future.

These regrets are monumentally heavy. They’re the “𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳’𝘀…” when you look back on your career.

The idea that we will all suffer from pain sounds miserable. But if you think about it, it's actually pretty liberating. It’s freeing to accept the fact that pain is unavoidable. Pain, the way I’ve defined it, is not just a physical sensation. It’s emotional and mental as well.

You can choose to wake up, like a new life and new you.
