Fertility Massage

I tried something new last week: Fertility Massage at Obienaitre Grand Baie.
I have never had such an amazing experience. đŸ™đŸœ
I felt understood.

A unique practice in Mauritius.
She works with a combination of techniques gathered from around the world, blended with her own experience and sensitivity. This is so much more than a simple massage. It is also energetic, grounding, and deeply nurturing.

I 1000% recommend trying this at least once in your life.

I can still feel the effects in my body ❀

My 40-day movement and cycle-based eating journey

This is my personal data after about 40 days of hiking, gym, walking, and eating according to my cycle.

I also dropped a few kilos, but what matters most to me is not just the weight. It is the fact that I listen to my body.

During my luteal phase, I had to slow down for a while because my body simply wouldn’t go. And I think this is so important, especially with PMOS (PCOS): we need to learn the difference between discipline and forcing ourselves.

When I hike, I often battle with my mind. I want to give up. I want to turn back. In those moments, I don’t push harder immediately. In those moments I just pause...

Pause.

I breathe
I drink water
I accept that I am tired
I accept that I need a moment.
I don’t run away from my thoughts. I look at nature. I feel grateful. I remind myself to be proud of the path I have already walked.

This is also when I stretch, and somehow, that pause gives me the boost I need to continue.

For me, the lesson is this:
Keep going, but at a pace that respects your body.

This is not a workout plan or medical advice. It is simply my personal experience. With PMOS/PCOS, everybody is different, and our cycles, energy, symptoms, and limits can vary. Please listen to your body and seek professional advice when needed.

Many women write to me looking for quick solutions to lose weight, especially now with the rise of GLP-1 medications.

And I understand the struggle. I’ve been there.

But when we talk about PCOS, we need to remember this: weight gain is often a symptom (linked to insulin resistance, hormonal imbalance, stress, lack of sleep, inflammation, and many other things happening inside the body.

So if we only attack the weight, we may only be attacking the visible part of the problem.

This does not mean that medication is “bad” or that women who use it are taking the easy way out. For some, GLP-1 medications can be helpful and medically appropriate. But they should be used with proper medical guidance, not as a trend or a shortcut sold by social media.

For me, the deeper question is:

What is my body trying to tell me?
Can I support my hormones?
Can I eat in a way that stabilizes my blood sugar?
Can I move according to my cycle instead of punishing my body?
Can I sleep better, drink more water, reduce stress, and rebuild trust with my body?

Because when you work with your body instead of fighting it, Girl....things change 🙏

There are also natural alternatives to support you.

‱ Vinegar before meals, as shared by Glucose Goddess, to help with blood sugar response

‱ Herbal blends, like the Slim Tea from LunaGlow which I’ve recently tried here in Mauritius and found helpful for appetite support

There are supplements such as Berberine and Chromium though they should be used carefully with guidance from Doctors.

But all this does not mean magic. Our bodies are not machines.

PCOS/PMOS needs patience, support, and consistency. There is no one size fits all....

The goal is not just to lose weight.
The goal is to understand your body 🙏

I have used this 🙏 It's incredible

First thing is that it curbs my appetite and lowers my sugar cravings.

I take one per day - this is a win, already dropped a few kgs đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„

As both a nurse and someone living with PCOS, I realised how much we’re often expected to “figure things out” on our own.
I wanted something that wasn’t overwhelming or strictly clinical, so I created Slow Bloom
A guided PCOS journal designed as a gentle space for you to understand PCOS as a whole ( its types, possible causes, symptoms) and patterns. While also holding space for your personal journey.

Inside, you’ll find space to:
-Track your cycles and symptoms
-Reflect on your body and mood patterns
-Learn about PCOS in a simple, supportive way
-Reconnect with yourself without pressure.
And many more!

This journal is here to slowly help you understand your body. Because managing PCOS can feel overwhelming and lonely, this gives you one place to feel supported, organized and understood.
Slow Bloom is now open for pre-orders.

Have a look at this 🙏
