A new chapter opened in Moka on 1 June.

Moka Rangers Sports Club is now open at La Promenade, Moka. Born from the coming together of Synergy and the Moka Rangers, the club brings sport, lifestyle, and community together under one roof, against the mountain backdrop of Moka. Modern, high-level equipment, padel courts, two swimming pools, golf facilities, and a restaurant bar, amongst others: a complete destination built for athletes, families, and everyone in between.

This milestone marks a further step in ER Group's long-term commitment to Moka. Through ER Property, one of our real estate subsidiaries and the developer behind Moka City, the Group has spent over 20 years shaping Moka as a connected, sustainable territory built around people, with one purpose: to ignite lifestyles through the places it creates.

Working across borders: regional expansion in practice | ER Group 03/06/2026

Behind every regional milestone, there are people making the work possible.

ER Aviation’s regional expansion has been built progressively, through local understanding, consistent standards, and relationships developed over time.

In this article, we spoke with Feizal Abdoollah and Nash Emrith, two ER Aviation country managers whose daily work spans Madagascar, Mayotte, and everything that comes with operating across borders: different cultures, different customer behaviours, different ways of building trust.

Feizal marks 27 years of service at ER Aviation and currently leads APG Madagascar. Nash manages two markets simultaneously, namely Madagascar and Mayotte, and adapts his leadership to each. Both comply with the same procedures, but they know that compliance alone does not build something that lasts.

Bazart Kreasion enters a new chapter. On 12 May 2026, the artisans of Bazart Kreasion received their certification, marking the completion of an entrepreneurship training programme. It was also announced that the initiative will transition into a cooperative structure led by the women themselves. ✨

Launched in 2012 by ER Foundation (formerly ENL Foundation), Bazart Kreasion has empowered more than 150 women from the Moka and Saint-Pierre regions through literacy, handicraft training and entrepreneurship. Several have since launched their own businesses or personal projects. Today, seven artisans turn recycled materials into handcrafted creations, sold through the boutique at Railway, Telfair.

Now registered with the National Women Entrepreneur Council (NWEC), the cooperative will soon share its savoir-faire with women in other regions where ER Group operates, including Bel Ombre, Dagotière, Port Louis, Sainte Catherine and Telfair. 😊

Through ER Foundation's Youth and Adult Career Development programme, Bazart Kreasion contributes to the Inclusive Development and Circular Economy pillars of ER Group's Sustainability Framework.

Recently, ER Group joined the Mauritius Institute of Directors as a Founding Member and Strategic Partner for the official launch of the Human Capital Governance Forum (HCGF).

Board directors, senior executives, and business leaders from across Mauritius came together to address the challenges that do not fix themselves: brain drain, skills shortages, and leadership continuity.

For ER Group, this is not abstract. With more than 12,000 people, talent is not a support function. It is what makes our strategy possible. We invest over Rs 130 million annually in developing our people. But investment is only part of the answer.

Manish Bundhun, our Chief People Executive, raised the questions boards should be asking: "How deep is our leadership pipeline? Are we retaining the people who matter most? Is our culture aligned with our long-term strategy? These are governance questions, not HR ones."

This is the first of many conversations. Stay tuned for more. 😊

Organised with our subsidiaries, Decathlon Maurice and Helios Eyewear Mauritius, and KFC Maurice, part of Eclosia, the day combined sport with learning, featuring engaging sessions on recycling and everyday sustainability.

Through its Sports Development programme, ER Foundation contributes to the Vibrant Communities pillar of ER Group’s Sustainability framework. ✨
