मातृशक्ति 🌸 | She was in the soil. In the sun. In every hand that served.
This Mother’s Day, Mātṛśakti became a space to honour the nurturing energy that exists within all of life.
🌿 Bare feet. Living earth.
We walked consciously through nature at Malenga, reconnecting with the simplicity and intelligence of the natural world. Every step became an opportunity to slow down, breathe, and return to the present moment.
☀️ Then we paused. And simply received.
Under the morning sun, we allowed the body and mind to settle into stillness. A quiet reminder that healing also comes through rest, warmth, and presence.
🌬️ We breathed. Together. Deeply.
Through guided movement, breathing practices, and sound therapy, we explored balance, awareness, and the quiet strength of the feminine energy that nurtures and sustains life.
🐄 We served. We cooked. We sat together.
Back at Abhyas, seva became an expression of gratitude. Meals were prepared and served with care, the cows were tended to, and space was created for mothers and families to simply receive and be together in warmth and presence.
📖 Then came the journal.
The reflections that emerged were shaped by the morning itself — grounded by the earth, softened by the breath, and nourished through shared experience.
That is Mātṛśakti.
Not only a celebration of mothers, but a reminder of our relationship with nature, nourishment, compassion, and awareness within us all. 🌸

Today, we stepped away from the noise and entered into the living presence of nature — slowing down enough to truly feel. Through Nature Journaling, not with pen and paper, but through our senses, we gently fine-tuned our awareness to the world around us. The touch of the earth, the rhythm of the wind, the songs of birds, the fragrance carried through the trees, and the warmth of sunlight became our journal entries.
With every mindful breath and every moment of observation, we grounded ourselves deeper into the nurturing embrace of Mother Earth. The experience invited us to soften, listen, and reconnect — not only with nature, but with the stillness and clarity within ourselves.

Stress. Burnout. Emotional fatigue.
These are no longer isolated personal struggles — they are shaping workplace culture, performance, and team dynamics every day.
Awareness alone is not enough anymore.
Action is needed.
As part of the Mental Health Awareness Campaign, the Abhyas Institute of Universal Awareness is offering introductory exploratory sessions for organisations to begin meaningful conversations around workplace mental wellbeing.
This is the first step toward building a tailored 4-week wellbeing program designed specifically for your team.

Thanks to once again for creating a platform for participants to experience optimised team performance through the team-building workshop, ''Enhanced Performance through Stress Management'', held on April 30th.
It was truly beautiful to witness the bonding, collaboration, and collective creation that emerged through the various experiential activities. Throughout the journey, participants explored the foundations of an inclusive approach while cultivating quietude of mind through an immersive and engaging process.
One of the most meaningful moments was witnessing how, beyond our gross identities, there is something deeper that connects us all.
We look forward to co-creating more such journeys through experiential learning and conscious workplace development.
Much gratitude to Harsha Chakoory for facilitating yet another successful event.
To support this transition even further, you can incorporate a few simple Holistic (Ayurvedic) practices into your evening routine:
• Before going to sleep, wash your feet with lukewarm water in winter, and with cool water in summer and the rainy season
• Apply warm oil to the feet, temples, or forehead to help calm the system
• Gentle self-massage (abhyanga) to release accumulated tension and discomfort
• Reduce screen time and overall sensory input
These small, consistent practices help the body shift from activity to rest more naturally.

On the occasion of International Day of Education, we pause to remember that education is not only about knowledge, but about the values we embody. At Abhyas Institute of Universal Awareness, in collaboration with the University of Mauritius, we hosted Mental Well-being for All – Educators Edition—a space intentionally created to honour and support those who guide, nurture, and shape generations.
In alignment with UNESCO’s theme, “The Power of Youth in Co-creating Education,” the gathering reflected a deeper truth: when educators are supported in their wellbeing, children, youth, and future leaders flourish naturally.
We were honoured by the presence of the Hon. Junior Minister of Health and Wellness, Hon. Anishta Babooram, and the Chief Technical Officer of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, Mr. Ricaud Auckbur, as collective voices acknowledged the need of the hour.
With the launch of the Abhyas Educator Wellbeing Program, we move forward with intention—choosing to care for those who hold space for learning, to strengthen the roots of education through wellbeing, and to co-create a future guided by awareness, compassion, and resilience.

Mental Wellbeing For All- Educator's Edition
Registration: https://abhyas.mu/.../mental-wellbeing-for-all-educators.../
Date: 24th January
Time: 2:15 PM To 5:00 PM
Venue: Paul Octave Wiehe Auditorium University of Mauritius, Reduit, 80837, Mauritius
Mental Wellbeing for All – Educator’s Edition, organised by Abhyas with the University of Mauritius, marks UNESCO’s International Day of Education 2026 and the theme “The Power of Youth in Co-Creating Education.” Educational reform is only as meaningful as the educators who bring it to life and the youth it empowers—when educator wellbeing is prioritised, young people are recognised as active partners in shaping learning and contributing their voices, ideas, and creativity.
This dialogue aims to position Mauritius as a global leader in accessible, future-ready education by placing mental wellbeing at the foundation of educational reform and creating nurturing environments that cultivate talent, resilience, and purpose—particularly among youth. Through an advanced Wellbeing for All approach aligned with the vision of Universal Education, the initiative seeks to empower individuals, strengthen the educational ecosystem, and unlock each person’s innate potential.
This event invites educators, students, decision-makers, parents, and communities to explore pathways towards an education system shaped by curiosity, compassion, and consciousness for a highly globalised world.
