Farm Meat Market

Christmas doesn't go wrong in December. It goes wrong in October.

By the week before Christmas, the stock is either in our cold store or it isn't, and the room to manoeuvre has gone. So the festive season starts for us now - with our suppliers, and with the kitchens we deliver to.

We've written up how we plan it: what's worth committing early, what should stay flexible, and why we'd rather have a rough forecast from you in October than a precise emergency in December.

If you run a kitchen and you haven't thought about December yet, this is the week to start.

A calm December is planned in October The festive season rarely goes wrong in December. It goes wrong in autumn, when nobody put a number on it. Here is how we plan it with our clients and our suppliers, starting now.
