ROAD TRAINS.
This is a 'system' of road haulage used only in countries where very long distances are involved, particularly where the terrain is not served by railroad; the Australian outback being the world leader. Examples of such conveyances include the carriage of mineral-ores, fuels and even livestock.
A road train consists of a (powerful engined) 'prime mover' towing two or more trailers in the same way that an train engine pulls train wagons on rails.
Here's an interesting video to illustrate this interesting concept:

This is what happens when shippers (exporters) misdeclare dangerous goods as harmless, or omit to declare them in order to avoid extra costs, special packing and marking, and special documentation. Human life and property will be at risk!
Please exercise maximum responsibility when shipping goods.
When in doubt, ask suppliers (or manufacturers) for the Material Safety Data Sheet, or MSDS.

Time is Money, they say ... but do you believe it?
Time is actually more than money! Time is Life. So saving time at work should be a good thing for you. Choose wisely!
Adopt good systems. Be efficient, but equally important, be effective. Communicate properly, check your work, check your own and other people's understanding and, where possible, take advice. Because as much as time = money, mistakes cost time and, sometimes, a lot of money too. Choose wisely!

The FOB term should NOT be used in case of groupage being loaded at an inland depot because it applies only for ports.
When applying this term for Groupage, be clear about the inland and depot costs being for suppliers' account and the freight and destination costs being for receivers' account. Note also the sellers' liability ending once the goods go beyond the ship's rail at port of loading.
(More detailed information may be obtained from the ICC publication "Incoterms 2010".)

A fact that is often overlooked is that there are two, not just 1, version of the FCA term. It may be used to denote goods being delivered to the forwarder's depot by the supplier, or for the forwarder to collect the goods from the supplier's warehouse.
The trick is to remember that when one party delivers, or collects, then ther other party un/loads the goods.

Ex Factory - Franco Fabbrica - Ex Works
This is the most basic term of the lot. The seller places the goods at the disposal of the buyer at a 'named place' of supply, BUT otherwise has no further obligations. The buyer is obliged to organize loading, transport and even clearance (if required).
This term is often misused, where FCA (Seller's Premises) would be a better term to use from the buyer's proint of view.
