"Why are you called onepercent?" That is a question we hear a lot. The name was chosen because we believe that one percent of the population is truly sensitive to the intricacies of design, detail and quality. And we are certainly a part of that demographic - as are many of our customers. Anyone can join and our expert staff are here to offer help and advice so that you can find the design and quality you need to furnish your home. We'll also show you how to develop an eye for detail so you can appreciate the fine quality we supply in all areas of our business. We have made it our mission to marry contemporary furniture with urban culture. To achieve this, we work with our experts to bring our concepts to both Maltese and international markets, making unique, high quality contemporary furniture available to our urban-minded customers. Based on this philosophy, onepercent was established in 2009 when it was awarded exclusive reseller status of high-quality Poliform products. Since then, new market segments have been developed and the group today provides a complete offer to all furniture needs. The company quickly gained ground in the local market and decided to expand, while still remaining true to his original philosophy of design, detail and quality. Today

Poliform, Minotti, Porada, and GlasItalia furnish the room. Onepercent's new art advisory, led by Noel Pace and Andrew Borg Wirth, is for when furniture alone doesn't finish it. Charis frames it as the next layer of a model already built on relationships that outlast a single project, where a client checks back in years later, still glad they made the call.

Tomo Campbell builds his paintings in sections, taping off areas, painting around them, leaving the joins visible in the finished surface. Stand By draws on medieval tapestry, with figures moving through a dense field with no clear foreground or background, the eye finding its own way through.

The onepercent showroom on a bright morning. The Poliform Ernest sofa wraps around the room in olive velvet, low and generous. In front of it, the Ernest coffee table in black lacquer gives the room a centre of gravity.
Two pieces designed to go together, and clearly made for each other.

Maegan Streader's light piece, flown in from Australia, hangs across a Tomo Campbell painting this summer. John Rainey and Antoine Renard take over the Glas Italia table. Nico Conti scales the full Poliform wall. Christian Holze and Austin Camilleri lean into art history but speak of the now. Rebecca Bonaci delivers the familiar warmth and domesticity which onepercent pours into their homes.
Andrew Borg Wirth built this lineup on friction, planning with Noel pieces that bring architecture and art to share space.

Noel's interest in art began in the 90s, with Maltese names: Andrew Diacono, Debbie Caruana Dingli, and Anton Calleja, a friend he first approached for a gift for his parents. His eye turned international later on, influenced by the tastes of a few individuals in his inner circle.
Today, his instinct shapes how onepercent works with clients, often suggesting Maltese artists to international collectors, giving them something rooted in the place they've chosen to be.
For Noel, the best design is when the art and objects that make a house feel like the person who lives there.

Light as a material.
Meagan Streader's Wave tiles are wall-mounted LED units in acrylic and rose-gold mirrored backings, which have been installed in different configurations according to their context. Each tile varies slightly in colour and tone, and the whole piece shifts as the light in the room changes around it.
