We’re almost reaching the end of our term, so here’s a little tribute to the (mini🍼) team who worked behind the scenes this past year👏

We’ve handled the meetings, the socials, the events, but we’re leaving the mystery of what a Sustainability Officer actually does for the next exec to solve😝

Happy World Wildlife Day! 🌿

World Wildlife Day offers a moment to celebrate the beauty of wild fauna and flora while highlighting their essential benefits. This year, the focus shifts to the vital role of medicinal and aromatic plants, emphasizing their importance to global health and heritage.

It’s easy to forget that the “medicine cabinet” actually starts in the wild. From everyday aspirin to life-saving treatments, over 70,000 plant species provide the blueprint for global health.

Here’s to the plants that heal us and the wildlife that sustains us.

The Earth Systems Association was invited to attend From Coast to Innovation: Shaping Malta’s Blue Economy, organised by the BlueMed team within Malta Enterprise🌊

The event featured two panel discussions exploring the current state of Malta’s Blue Economy, as well as innovation and emerging technologies shaping the sector.

As students, it was an interesting opportunity to listen to experienced professionals in the field and gain a broader perspective on how policy, industry, and innovation intersect within the marine and coastal space.

Thank you to Malta Enterprise and the BlueMed team for the invitation and for hosting an informative event which also concluded with the presentation of the SDG 14 awards and a networking lunch🏆💙
