We hold that art—particularly the language of movement—transcends cultural, linguistic, and social barriers, delivering messages that words alone cannot.

Artivism Dance Theatre is not just a dance collective; it's a movement for change.

They gave us rules we never signed.
They built systems without our names.
They told us who to be before we even breathed.

But we learned the code.
We learned the way through.

Improvise. Adapt. Cheat.

We improvise—because there was never a script for us.
When family closed their doors, we built chosen families.
When society denied us joy, we created our own worlds of love, art, and laughter.
Improvisation is not chaos. It is genius born from survival.

We adapt—because the world shifts like a storm.
Every law, every stare, every barrier meant to break us, we bend around it.
We do not vanish. We do not shatter.
We bend, and in bending, we remain unbroken.

And yes, we cheat.
Not by betraying each other—
but by betraying the lie.
We cheat the binary.
We cheat silence.
We cheat the script written for us without consent.
We outsmart the game by refusing to play it.

Q***r, trans, outsider—we were never meant to survive.
And yet here we are. Radiant. Defiant. Alive.

So when the world tries to corner you,
when it says, ‘Stay small, stay silent, stay ashamed’—
answer with the code:

Improvise. Adapt. Cheat.

And in doing so,
prove that freedom was always yours.

Ora (aura) is the invisible current of our being. It radiates from us before we speak, before we act, before we even realize its reach. Some dim it to belong, others shrink it out of fear. But an artist—one who chooses truth—knows that shrinking is never necessary.

When your Ora is unshrinking, you do not fight for attention. You do not perform for approval. You walk into a room, and you do not take space, you center it.

True presence does not come from noise. Noise shouts to be noticed. Presence simply exists, and everything rearranges around it. You do not compete with the crowd; you shift the atmosphere itself.

And this is why people react.
Some will be drawn to you, inspired by your authenticity.
Others will resist you, unsettled by your clarity.
You become a reminder of their failure—not because you are attacking them, but because your existence proves that another way is possible, and they did not choose it.

They may call you arrogant, intimidating, or ‘too much.’ But these are not your truths—they are their confessions. They are not speaking of who you are, but of what they fear to become.

To shrink your Ora for their comfort is to rob them of awakening. To dim your flame is to collude with their denial. The sun does not dim because the eyes squint. The tree does not stop growing because the sky feels crowded. Why then should you shrink for a world that needs light?

Your Ora is your rebellion. Your Ora is your declaration. It is the proof that life cannot be reduced to obedience.

So do not shrink.
Do not apologize.
Do not betray the fire that made you.

Walk into every room whole and unapologetic.

Not to take space.
To center it.

To live with unshrinking ora is to live responsibly.
It is to be a center of gravity, a reminder, a mirror.
It is to disturb the sleepwalkers, to awaken the silenced, to show the world that life is not meant to be endured small.

And let your very presence remind them:
I was not born to fit in. I was born to set free.

Society surrounds us with a million invisible threads. Some are woven with tradition, others with fear, and many with silent agreements we never signed. From the moment we are born, we are placed inside a framework—a script that tells us who to be, how to behave, what to chase, and even what to fear.

But here is the truth most never dare to whisper: society is not a law of nature. It is a human invention. And what is invented can always be reimagined.

The greatest act of rebellion is not rage. It is not destruction. It is simply this: to live fully, unapologetically, and freely. When you stand in your truth, society loses its grip. Its judgments fade into background noise. Its rules shrink into suggestions. Its chains dissolve into illusions.

You were not born to fit into molds.
You were born to break them.
To reshape them.
To prove that existence is fluid, untamed, and uncontainable.

When you rise above the walls of control, you become dangerous—not because you harm, but because you inspire. You become a mirror, showing others the possibility of freedom they thought was impossible.

And this is why society fears the awakened individual. Not because you are violent, but because you reveal the most subversive truth of all: obedience is optional.

So today, walk differently.
Breathe differently.
Speak differently.
Not for rebellion’s sake, but for truth’s sake.

Let your very presence declare:
• I am not here to be controlled.
• I am not here to conform.
• I am here to live wide, wild, and free.

Because the cage was never real.
And the key was always in your hands.

As Malta gears up for Pride, the streets will soon be filled with rainbow flags, floats, and polished slogans. Politicians will march at the front, supermarkets and corporations will slap rainbows on their products, and institutions will post about ‘inclusion.’

But let’s tell the truth: much of this is pinkwashing.
It’s the use of q***r visibility as a marketing tool—while behind the rainbow façade, exploitation, racism, and oppression continue.

🚩 Politicians who deliver speeches about ‘diversity’are the same ones who uphold xenophobic laws, push anti-migrant policies, and ignore the daily realities of marginalized communities. Their presence at Pride is not allyship—it is hypocrisy.

🚩 Corporations and supermarkets that claim to ‘celebrate Pride’ are the same ones that underpay and exploit migrant workers, fueling racist systems in Malta. Slapping a rainbow on a logo does not erase exploitation.

🚩 Institutions that march for visibility are often the very ones that silence q***r employees, tokenize difference, and discriminate the other 364 days of the year.

This matters because when Pride becomes branding, it loses its radical roots. Pride was not born out of marketing campaigns. Pride was born in resistance—in protest against police violence, against systemic oppression, against racism and exclusion. Pride belongs to the people who fought and continue to fight—not to politicians or corporations.

Pride must be reclaimed as a space for truth, justice, and solidarity.

It must center the voices of those still excluded—the migrants, the trans community, the workers, the silenced. It must hold power accountable, not give it a stage.

Pride is not a photo-op. Pride is protest. Pride is resistance.
