𝟓 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 — The adventure begins! Passage Race from Malta to Marzamemi sets off from Marsamxett at 0900hrs.

𝟔 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 — Crews & Friends Dinner + Entertainment at Marzamemi Yacht Club from 2000hrs till late.

𝟕 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 — Passage Race back from Marzamemi to Malta, departing at 0900hrs.

𝟏𝟑 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 — Round off the weekend in style at the Prize Giving Evening on the RMYC Rooftop Terrace, 1930hrs. 🏆

How to get the best results with clear varnish

Determine your goal:
Re-varnishing from bare wood or just maintenance coats.

Check the old varnish:
Only loss of gloss → clean, lightly sand, apply new coats.
Cracks or damaged varnish → sand back or remove completely.

Choose the right varnish:
1-component = flexible and easy to use (solid wood).
2-component = harder and more wear-resistant (stable structures).

Proper preparation:
Wood should be free of grease, dry, sanded (P100–P220), and dust-free.

Building up the varnish:
Thin the first coats, then at least 4 unthinned coats.
Lightly sand (P400) between coats.

Maintenance:
Apply a new coat annually for lasting gloss and protection. More information and instructional videos:
