EquestriMalta is pleased to announce the launch of the first ever Maltese Thoroughbred Studbook, which is now open for registration.

This initiative establishes official pedigree records, strengthens breeding standards, and ensures traceability and transparency within the equine sports community. It also enhances the value of locally bred horses and supports their eligibility for international racing, sales and movement. A key step in developing Malta’s equine sport industry, whilst strengthening its international standing in creating new international opportunities for Malta and its owners.

Interested applicants are advised to apply on [email protected] or call Mr Giorgio Mallia on 79399574. Our team will guide applicants on registrations and any other questions.

Minister Grima's input and vision was crucial in the inception of the authority EquestriMalta, together with other succesful projects. May we take this opportunity to wish him all the best in his new responsibility as Justice Minister. We now look forward to work under newly appointed Education and Sports Minister Dr Byron Camilleri, whilst also congratulating him for this new role.

Works at Montekristo Equestrian Arena progressing smoothly 🚧🐴

EquestriMalta CEO Max Zammit met again on site Dutch expert Rob Jansen from R.J.F Jansen Engineering, who was commissioned for the past weeks in the preparation of a newly built arena from scratch at Montekristo. Present was also construction engineer Farren Grixti who spearheaded the project together with the experts and the relevant stakeholders.

Works include top quality silica sand, re-levelling, new drains (the first of it's kind in Malta), and new primary and intermediate surfaces composed by different materials for adequate water drainage that helps in retaining the sand in pristine condition, amongst other works.

This project is being financed majorly by Polidano Group and partially funded by MEF through EquestriMalta support aimed for the organisation of the national championships. We are excited to open it again for our riders imminently. More details to follow next week.
