|| BIO || Robyn Pratt - Impact Consulting Managing Director

Robyn currently runs Impact Consulting. In 2011, Robyn was Vice President & Brand Leader for Design and Luxury brands for Starwood Hotels, Europe, Africa, & Middle East (EAME). She has over 35 years of experience working in different countries & spanning a broad cross section of disciplines ranging from Sales and Marketing, Operations, General Management, Project Leadership, Change Management, Innovation, Brand Strategy and Leadership.

Robyn will be a guest speaker at the ARISE Tourism Conference being held on the 6th December at the Westin Dragonara and she will speak about branding strategies in the tourism sector.

|| BIO || Dr. Miriam Dalli - MEP

Dr. Dalli is a Member of the European Parliament representing Malta. She successfully contested the EP elections for the first time in 2014. Her main policy interests in the EP include sustainable development, innovation, research and energy efficiency.

Dr. Dalli is the S&D coordinator for the Environment, Public Health and Food Security Committee. Dalli is currently leading the European Parliament’s negotiations on two legislative files: the post-2020 reduction of CO2 emissions from new passenger cars and vans and the Asylum and Migration Fund.

A lawyer by profession, Miriam Dalli holds an MBA, an MA in European Studies and a BA (Hons) Communications from the University of Malta.

Dr. Dalli will provide a video message at the ARISE Tourism Conference being held on the 6th December at the Westin Dragonara which message will concern the importance of EU energy and environmental policies.

|| BIO || Leslie Vella - Malta Tourism Authority Deputy CEO For Strategic Development

Leslie has been working for the Malta Tourism Authority and its predecessor NTOM for the past 35 years and has held several senior management positions including CEO, Head of Research and Business Planning and Director Corporate Services. As from July 2015, he is the Chief Officer Strategic Development and Deputy CEO, also responsible for MTA’s Route Development Strategy. Between 1997 and 2014 he was also Chair of the European Travel Commission’s ETC) Market Intelligence Group and was Vice President of ETC between 2016 and 2017.

Leslie will be a guest speaker at the ARISE Tourism Conference being held on the 6th December at the Westin Dragonara and he will speak about the evolving tourist profile from the 1950s to date and also provide insight on what the tourist visiting Malta will be like in 2030 and what this means for operators and regulators in the sector.

|| BIO || Jeffrey Cutajar - Consultant for Signature Entertainment Group

Jeffrey is an experienced consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration and with private industry. Up to 2006, he was Director of International Marketing for the Malta Tourism Authority. In 2011 he became consultant for Hotel Valentina, taking it to the highest ranking on TripAdvisor, a top ranking it has retained ever since. In 2015 Jeffrey was appointed Ministry Representative for the Ministry for Tourism. He is skilled in Budgeting, Advertising, Sales, Hotel Management, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and is an established consulting professional that graduated from London Metropolitan University.

Jeffrey will be a guest speaker at the ARISE Tourism Conference being held on the 6th December at the Westin Dragonara and he will speak about the importance of human resource management and the how and the why a career in the tourism sector needs to be made more attractive, both from a service provider point of view and from a country and policy point of view.

|| BIO || Gianluca Laterza - TripAdvisor Regional Manager

Gianluca has been working at Tripadvisor since 2011, as a Senior Executive for some EMEA markets in London. He was then appointed as Territory Manager for Italy, Turkey, Greece, Malta and Cyprus in 2013, when he moved to Italy as the official spokesperson as well as the main representative of the hotel business division for the assigned territories. Since 2016, he is also in charge of metasearch optimization activities for some of the largest hotel chains and marketing agencies (aggregators) in South Europe. He is a Law Graduate and holds and an international MBA from Milan. He also teaches Digital Marketing and Destination Marketing Management at IUAV University of Venice.

Gianluca will be a guest speaker at the ARISE Tourism Conference being held on the 6th December at the Westin Dragonara and he will speak about Malta as a destination, what can be improved, what are the strengths and weaknesses as a destination.

|| BIO || Andrew Bonnici - Head of Data & Analytics at iSoftBet

Andrew has been working on data projects for over eight years. He consulted on technology and data projects in London within tier one investment banks including projects at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Citigroup before moving to Malta and working as a Senior Consultant with Computime on a Business Intelligence product for banking regulations. Over the past five years, Andrew has been working as Head of Data Science and BI at Betsson Group, where he managed and implemented various large scale data science products like Churn Prediction, Customer Segmentation and a Slots Recommendation Engine. Six months ago he moved to iSoftBet where he is heading the Data & Analytics function and implementing a new data platform for the company.

Andrew will be a guest speaker at the ARISE Tourism Conference being held on the 6th December at the Westin Dragonara and he will speak on how advanced customer management technologies used in the gaming sector can be applied to the hospitality sector.

Wilma began her career as a consultant for the Ayala Viaggi agency. She has always worked in the tourism sector in the marketing sector for companies such as Nefer Travel, Sunset Travel, Travelbag, ATPI and Enormo Property.

From 2009, for two years, she worked for Acer, before joining the ReviewPro team in November 2011.
