General service, cleaning and replacement of HDD was needed to give it a new lease of life.

Upgrading this laptop from a HDD to an SSD.

Laptop was very slow in booting up OS and performing updates.
Yesterday it took 1 hour to boot, due to laptop trying to perform updates which eventually failed, and that in itself was a sign that the HDD was working to its maximum capacity which is not ideal. I could also hear it “squeak” which meant that, in the near future, it would have surely failed and possibly stopped working altogether.

Installed a new SSD to replace the old HDD.
The HDD was cloned on the SSD, therefore no data has been lost.

With this new upgrade the laptop is now booting very quickly, taking not more than 40 seconds. Huge improvement in performance. Happy customer, happy us at WinPC.

Top tip: upgrade your old laptop from a HDD to an SSD, and you’ll notice a huge improvement in performance. It will perform better than it did when it was new, I guarantee you that.

Asus X55A laptop. Dead laptop needs a motherboard replacement. Upgrading the laptop by increasing the RAM and replacing the HDD with an SSD. Installing Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016, transferring data from old HDD on new SSD and installing other apps requested by user.
