We create wines that reflect the grape varietals and agricultural heritage of the Maltese Islands.

When you go down to the cellar and dig deep enough… you find a few unreleased beauties reserved for those days when it feels like you’ve broken your spine.

Some bottles are not opened.
They are earned.

Something exciting is happening in the cellar.

Solum 2022 is being bottled.

Not every vintage becomes Solum. Only in exceptional years, when the Syrah reaches the concentration, balance and character we are looking for, do we choose to make it.

The 2022 production is especially limited: just 150 bottles, drawn from a single 115L Feuillette barrel after 24 months of ageing in new French oak.

Crafted from 100% Syrah, with only a few bunches left on each vine, Solum is our boldest expression of patience and precision.
All that sun. All that waiting. Now sealed in glass and resting in the dark.

Soon, it will find its way to your table.

A Proud Moment for Markus Divinus

We were honoured to welcome the Prime Minister of Malta and his team to Markus Divinus.

We are truly grateful for the recognition shown towards the dedication, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that go into every aspect of what we do — from the vineyard to the cellar, and from every bottle to every guest experience.

The visit comes at a significant moment, as Malta celebrates its new direct connection with New York, opening the door for more visitors to discover our island through its wine, gastronomy, culture, and heritage.

At Markus Divinus, we believe viticulture is about more than wine. It plays an important role in preserving Malta’s agricultural heritage, rural landscapes, and identity. While the challenges facing the sector are real, they continue to inspire us to focus on quality, authenticity, and wines that proudly represent Malta both locally and internationally.

We look forward to welcoming more visitors seeking meaningful, high-quality experiences, and to continuing our contribution to the growth and recognition of Maltese viticulture.

Thank you for the visit, the encouragement, and the support shown towards local producers and artisans.

We’re Hiring! - Vineyard & Cellar Assistant
Part-Time Position | 30 hours per week | Dingli, Malta

Markus Divinus is looking for a hands-on, reliable person to join our winery team.

This is not an office job. It is a practical role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being active, and learning the craft behind Maltese wine. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Experience in agriculture, gardening, maintenance, hospitality, or cellar work will be considered an asset, but reliability and attitude are just as important.

Good wine needs good company and good food.

For En Blanc, we wanted the table to feel as considered as the wines on it. That's why we brought in two names we genuinely love — Nelli's for the charcuterie and Ta' Żeppi Farm for the cheese. Both local, both made with care, both exactly what our five Maltese whites deserve alongside them.

This is what an afternoon at Markus Divinus looks like. Good wine, good food, good music with an easy atmosphere.

17th May at Markus Divinus in Dingli.
13:00 - 17:00
€65 per person.

Bookings are confirmed through the Stripe payment link attached to the event.

Not all wineries are built the same.

At Markus Divinus, we're a true boutique — built on small production, hands-on work, and a deep respect for our terroir. Every bottle starts in a carefully selected vineyard parcel, from 100% Maltese grapes. It passes through our three-level winery that was designed to manage every step ourselves — from grape processing to fermentation and barrel ageing.

Being small means limited quantities, long hours, and an uncompromising focus on quality. It's intensive work, and not everyone understands why we do it this way.
That's okay.

What matters the most to us is the trust of the people who visit, taste, and support what we do. Over the years, we've had the privilege of building a real community — guests, clients, and wine lovers who recognise the authenticity behind every bottle and keep coming back for it.

If you're curious about the story behind the bottle, come visit us. Or start at https://www.markusdivinus.com

One parcel. One grape. The only thing we change — is the day we pick.

Kiraz comes first. Earlier harvest while the grapes are still bright and holding back. A rosé — crisp like morning air and light. The kind of wine that wakes something up.

Solum waits. A few weeks more of sun and time to become something deeper. A red — dark fruit, slow warmth, a finish that lingers long after the glass is empty.

Two completely different characters with one grape.

So — which one are you?

Find information about the wines on our website.
