Purpose of the Role

The Senior Analyst Data Engineering is a key member of the Group Operational Reporting team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data engineering solutions that support trusted reporting and analytics across Rio Tinto business areas. This role focuses on delivering high-quality data pipelines, data models, and reporting-ready datasets within the PRiME platform, while also supporting PRiME's transition to the Databricks Lakehouse environment.

Contract length: 6+6 months

Key Responsibilities

-Build and maintain robust data pipelines that support ingestion, transformation, and integration of data from enterprise and operational source systems into curated, business-aligned datasets
-Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product owners to understand data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs
-Develop and enhance data models and reporting-ready datasets to meet evolving reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with business logic
-Configure and manage data catalogue and metadata standards to support platform governance, discoverability, and consistent data ownership
-Contribute to architectural improvements that enhance pipeline orchestration, performance, and platform scalability
-Provide ongoing platform support, including monitoring pipeline ex*****ons, resolving data load issues, and supporting incident investigation and resolution

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field
-Solid understanding of data engineering concepts including ETL workflows, data modeling, and data quality principles
-Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
-Ability to translate business concepts, processes, and requirements into both relational and dimensional models
-Experience with tabular models and a basic understanding of DAX
-Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI and Power Apps
-Experience using version control tools, such as Git, and working within collaborative development environments
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
-Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders

It will be a plus if you have:

-Exposure to Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Azure data services, or enterprise reporting platforms
-Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to iterative project delivery
-Awareness of mining, operations, or industrial data systems is advantageous

Job title: Contract Specialist

The Contract Specialist is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, including requirement intake, contract drafting, internal review, negotiation, approval, ex*****on, and post-ex*****on administration. The role partners with internal stakeholders, legal, procurement, finance, logistics, and external vendors to ensure contracts are commercially sound, operationally practical, compliant with company standards, and properly tracked through completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Gather and assess contract requirements from internal stakeholders by identifying business scope, service or supply needs, logistics considerations, delivery terms, timelines, commercial risks, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare draft contracts, amendments, purchase-related agreements, and other contractual documents using approved templates and standard clauses, while aligning terms with business needs and ERP-based purchasing or supply chain processes.
- Coordinate internal contract reviews with legal, procurement, finance, logistics, and business teams; consolidate comments; and resolve conflicting feedback by balancing contractual risk, operational feasibility, and commercial objectives.
- Support or lead negotiations with vendors and counterparties to improve contract terms related to pricing, payment, delivery obligations, liability, service levels, Incoterms/logistics terms, and other key commercial provisions.
- Manage final review and approval workflows by ensuring all documentation is complete and approvals are obtained in line with delegated authority, internal controls, and company policy.
- Administer contract ex*****on using approved contract management, e-signature, ERP, and document storage systems, ensuring signed agreements are properly recorded, filed, and accessible for audit and operational use.

Qualifications and Experience

- Good knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and logistics terms and processes.
