The 2025 MotoNomad Rally is now in its final days.

Riders from Australia, New Zealand, UK, Germany, Canada, and the US have been riding deep into the wild heart of Mongolia - on the same underpowered motorcycles all the local nomads use.

Braking power and suspension? Who needs it when you are armed with a tent and a 2,000 km off-road GPS trail heading into the most remote corners of Mongolia. It’s self-guided, self-supported, and 100% chaos guaranteed.

Lost riders, breakdowns, and wild misadventures are an every day occurrence.

The 2024 MotoNomad Rally is well under way!

15 adventurers from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the United Kingdom are currently off on the journey of a lifetime across remote Mongolia. 🇲🇳

Starting at Lake Khovsgol in the north earlier this week, the riders will now cross the Mongolian steppe into the Gobi Desert, explore massive landscapes and meeting the local people along the way.

So far there has been lost riders, break downs and lots of fun, adventures and miss adventures along the way, with much more to come. The MotoNomad Rally is very different to your average hand holding motorcycle tour !

What an incredible 12 days with a great group of riders from 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 🇬🇧 🇮🇪. We covered over 1,800km from the Gobi Desert in the south to the mountain’s lakes and rivers in the north of Mongolia. We rode the same bikes the local use, with the mighty 200cc Shineray's never letting us down. The aim of the MotoNomad rally was to provide a motorcycle event that is "more challenging, independent and rewarding than a tour group". We delivered on this promise and then some!

The MotoNomad Rally is only 4 days in and already plenty of chaos and unexpected adventures have ensued! We are now at our most southern point of the route in the Gobi desert. From here we head to the lakes and mountains in the far north of Mongolia, just over 1000km to go!!
