Our STEM Explorers tackled some serious engineering challenges in this week's STEM Explorer Bootcamp! Using Strawbees, students took on the challenge of designing and building tall, sturdy towers.

Here’s how they brought their ideas to life:
💡 Planning & Design: They started on the whiteboards, sketching out ideas and brainstorming how to make their structures hold up.
🛠️ Hands-On Building: Students experimented with key structural engineering principles—learning firsthand how cross-beams, triangular bracing, and strong bases create stability.
💥 The Ultimate Test: The real test came when every tower faced the Shake Table! From minor wobbles to epic earthquake simulations, students analyzed what worked, made quick design tweaks, and iterated to build even stronger towers.

We are so impressed by their creativity, critical thinking, and persistence under pressure! Check out some of our young engineers in action below.

A full weekend of fun featuring robotics, coding, AI, Architecture and Game Design starts this week!

Each theme run as one-hour classes — same time every week, a group your child stays with, something built every session.

Saturday — Robotics & Coding Day

10:00 Robotics — robots that drive, grip, sort and find their way.
11:15 Coding — Scratch games with controllers made from dough, bananas and foil.
14:00 & 15:00 STEM Explorers Bootcamp (ages 10+) — 15 weeks, five subjects.
Afternoon open studio — drop in, no booking. Tinker Library for ages 4–6.
