Scheduled International Flights operations resumed on 17 April 2022 at Yangon International Airport- YIA (Terminal 1), and YIA was happy to welcome SQ761, the first arriving scheduled international flight from Singapore.
The Myanmar Health Authority advises arriving international passengers the following travel documents are ready on hand upon disembarkation;

✅ PCR Test (Within 72 Hours)
✅ Health Declaration Card
✅ COVID-19 Vaccination Card
✅ Arrival Card
✅ Insurance Card (For Foreigners)

Travelers who do not meet the above requirements may enter Myanmar only by relief flights and shall fulfill the Quarantine and Testing Requirements of International Travelers to Myanmar issued and updated by the MOH. (Ref; Notification issued by Ministry of Health on 7-4-2022)

YIA also advises travelers, airline personnel, and airport staff to follow up on the health and safety protocols according to updated rules and regulations.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL ADVISORY


According to the notice from the Department of Civil Aviation issued on 31 December 2020, the earlier restrictions for all international airlines operating air services to and from the Yangon International Airport have been further extended up to 31 January 2021, 23:59 Hours MST.

To continue to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Myanmar effectively, the National Central Committee for Prevention, Control, and Treatment of COVID-19 has approved further to extend the effective period of the Temporary Measures.

However, the Domestic operations have resumed on 15 December, in compliance with all recommended practices from the authority.

YIA remains committed to supporting the operation of medical evacuation, relief, and all-cargo flights during this challenging period.

**For Domestic Flights, travelers are suggested to check with respective carriers or travel agents for updates.

General Aung is a founder of Myanmar Army which was formerly knowns as B.I.A, Burma Independence Amry founded in 1941 for the end of British ruling in Burma by assisting the Japanese in their conquest of the country in 1942 during World War II.Tragically ,the assassination came to General Aung San a year before the independence in 1947.He actually missed the independence day which he struggled for.

The independence Monument locates in Maha Bandula Park, in the heart of Yangon/ Rangoon City.

Pindaya town

The road to sleepy Pindaya (ပင္းတယ) cuts across one of the most densely farmed areas in Myanmar – at first glance, the patchwork of fields and hedges could almost be a landscape from central Europe. But it's the Danu, Palaung and Pa-O villages, rather than the farms, around Pindaya that draw travellers for treks through less-visited areas than elsewhere in western Shan State. Another good reason to make the journey here is to visit the famous Shwe Oo Min Natural Cave Pagoda, a massive limestone cavern filled with thousands of gilded buddha statues.

CHINESE BUSINESS TRAVELLERS ALLOWED ENTRY TO MYANMAR UNDER NEW SCHEME

The travellers who want to visit Myanmar urgently to implement business works, projects, construction work and departmental work will be allowed to enter the country under a “Fast Track” scheme which will give them a special quarantine programme.

Under this “Fast Track” scheme, these foreign travellers may come to Myanmar by relief flights, special flights and chartered flights.

Deputy Director General of Consul Services and Legal Affairs Aung Kyaw Zan said: “The COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over but business persons, experts and academics have to come to our country for their essential and inevitable visits. Under the normal quarantine programme and under the normal entry, they have to spend many days in quarantine. They don’t have time to spend these long days. So we arranged the “Fast Track” scheme for them not in order to prevent delay to their work. They can enter our country easily and speedily without any hassles.”

The Myanmar embassy in Beijing issued an advisory which says that the Chinese travellers who wish to visit to Myanmar under the “Fast Track” scheme can apply for visas and the embassy will arrange this.

The “Fast Track” scheme will be expanded to other countries too.

The travellers who enter Myanmar under this scheme must bring a COVID-19 negative medical certificate along with them and they must undergo facility quarantine after landing and then the nasal swab for COVID-19 test will be taken from them next day and a second swab test will be taken after five days. These travellers can do their work only after showing negative in both nasal swab tests.

The costs for laboratory tests shall be borne by these travellers.

Myanmar has banned all scheduled flights until the end of July this year in order to work to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
