IP network knowledge (part 2)
ရှေ့အပတ်က ကျွန်တော် ospf အကြောင်းအနည်းငယ်ပြောခဲ့တယ်၊ ဒီနေ့တော့ IGP protocol တွေဖြစ်တဲ့ OSPF နဲ့ IS-IS မှာ အနည်းငယ် မတူတာလေး၊ basic အကြောင်းလေး စပြောကြတာပေါ့၊
OSPF ပဲဖြစ်ဖြစ် IS-IS ပဲဖြစ်ဖြစ် interface အားလုံးမှာ metric(cost) တန်ဖိုးတွေ့ရှိပါတယ်၊ ဒါကကျွန်တော်တို့သိထားတဲ့အတိုင်း အကောင်းဆုံးလမ်းကြောင်းကို တွက်ထုတ်တဲ့နေရာမှာသုံးတယ်ပေါ့၊ metric တန်ဖိုးနည်းလေ ပိုရွေးချယ်ခံရလေပါပဲ။
OSPF မှာကြ လူကိုယ်တိုင် cost(metric) value ကို manual မသက်မှတ်ရင်တောင်မှ သူဘာသာ interface BW ပေါ်မူတည်ပြီ metric တန်ဖိုးရတယ်ပေါ့၊ အဲတော့ interface link ပေါ်မူတည်ပြီ matric value မတူနိုင်ဘူး၊ IS-IS မှာကြ default matric value က 10ပါပဲ၊ ဆိုလိုခြင်တာက serial link ပဲဖြစ်ဖြစ် Gigabit link ပဲဖြစ်ဖြစ် IS-IS မှာ matric value ကတူတူပဲ၊ အဲတော့ လူကိုယ်တိုင် metric value သတ်မှတ်ပေးရတာပေါ့၊ ospf နဲ့မတူတဲ့ အချက်တစ်ချက်ပေါ့။
ပြီးတော့ IS-IS မှာက interface metric value ကို 1 to 63 ထိပဲ assign လုပ်လို့ရတယ် ၊ ဘာလိုလဲဆိုတော့ default cost-style ဖြစ်တဲ narrow ဖြစ်နေလို့ပဲ၊ narrow ဆိုရင် source ကနေ destination ထိ route တစ်ကြောင်းရဲ့ total metric က 1023 ထိကျော်လို့မရဘူး၊ အဲတော့ Telecom network တွေမှာ IGP ကို IS-IS protocol သုံးပြီး implementလုပ်ရင် cost style ကို default narrow ကနေ wide(cost-style wide)ကိုပြောင်းသုံးကြတယ်။
အဲလိုသုံးလိုက်ခြင်အားဖြင် လမ်းကြောင်းတစ်လျောက် route တစ်ကြောင်းရဲ့ total metric က 1023 ထက်ကျော်လို့ပြီ၊ interface အောက်မှာလဲ ကြိုက်တဲ့ metric value assign လုပ်လို့ရသွားပါပြီ၊ primary link နဲ့ backup link ကြားက metric value ကိုလဲ different ကောင်းကောင်း ရအာင်လဲ config လုပ်လို့ရသွားပါပြီ၊ ဉပမာ microwave backup link ကို cost(metric) value 1000 ပေါ့၊ primary fiber link ကို 100 အစရှိသည်ဖြင့် design ကောင်းကောင်းချလို့ရပါပြီ။

ကျွန်တော် ဒီpage ကနေ့ ရှယ်ပေးသွားမဲ့ အကြောင်းအရာကတော့ တကယ့်လက်တွေ့မှာ routing portocol တွေကို သက်ဆိုင်ရာ နယ်ပယ်အလိုက် ဘယ်လို့ configure လုပ်၊ အသုံးချထားတယ်ဆိုတဲ့ အကြောင်းအရာလေးပါ။ ဒီတော့ ospf basic ကနေ့စ ကြတာပေါ့
- ip ospf network point-to-point
ကျွန်တော် လေ့လာ/လုပ်ခဲ့ဖူးသမျှ large ISP(Telecom ) များမှာ ospf ကို implement လုပ်တဲ့အခါမှာ interface type က point to point (p2p) ပါပဲ၊
အဓိက ကတော့ large ISP တွေဆိုတဲ့အတိုင်း link failure ဖြစ်လို့ DR/BDR selection ကြောင့် convergence time ပေါ် သက်ရောက်မူရှိမှာဆိုးလို့ပါ၊ အလွယ်ဆိုရရင် Link failure ဖြစ်လို့ DR/BDR selection ပြန်လုပ်ရမယ် dalay ကြောင့် network မှာ Fast Convergence(FC) မရမှာ ကြောင့်ပါ။
အပေါ်မှာဖော်ပြခဲ့သလို့ p2p network တွေကြီးပဲ သုံးတယ်လို့ ဆိုလိုရင်း မဟုတ်ပါ ၊ အဓိက က Telecom network တွေမှာ ဘာကြောင့် ဒီလို delivery လုပ်ထားသလဲဆိုတာပါ။
