Sound Pill Records

Late night sessions. Working on a new artist project.

Have you ever been unable to sleep and started blaming the clock for being so loud?

When I first heard the demo of this song, that was the image that came to mind: someone lying awake at night, listening to every tick while their thoughts keep racing.

That's why I used the sound of a clock as part of the music production, to bring that feeling into the music itself.

How I would produce for Aurora

There’s a famous quote that says:

‘I would have written a shorter letter,
but I didn’t have enough time.’

I think music production and songwriting is often the same.

It actually takes more skill,
clarity,
and emotional precision
to make something simple that truly lands.

A strong melody over 2 chords
can emotionally hit harder
than the most complicated arrangement in the world.

That’s something I think about constantly when producing songs.

What’s a song or melody that emotionally destroys you every time you hear it?
