Due to the coronavirus COVID2019, the epidemiological situation in Europe continues to escalate rapidly. The Ministry of Health of Montenegro on 13.03.2020 published on the website of the Government of Montenegro an order to take additional measures to prevent entry into the country and suppress the spread of coronavirus.

Proceeding of claim 1 and 3 of this disposition follows:
Prohibition of entry for all cruisers and yachts into ports: Bar, Budva, Kotor, Kumbor - Portonovi port, Tivat (Gate 1 and Gate 2) and Zelenika, until 2 April 2020. Prohibition of sport events from 13.03.2020.

In addition, on March 15, new quarantine measures were taken for 15 days, including:
- Closing of all borders for foreign citizens, except for those who have a temporary residence permit (boravak).
- Mandatory self-isolation of tourists arriving from abroad.
- Closing of all shopping centers, cafes and restaurants.
- Closing of hotels, except for tourists who already have a reservation.

SimpleSail, working in Montenegro, closely monitors the actual situation, follows the current legislation of the country and the measures taken to prevent the entry of coronavirus. We all hope that the existing prohibitions will be lifted from the beginning of April, however, we understand that the likelihood of a worsening situation remains substantial.

Temporary measures against spread of coronavirus are taken

Today we’ll talk about one of the SimpleSail’s fleet catamarans.

This Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 (4 cabin sailing catamaran) named Lounge is based on the Croatian SimpleSail base in Slano. The yacht is quite comfortable to accommodate 8-10 people. With a length of more than 13.3 meters, the width is 7.4. Draft is only 116 centimeters. There Are two Fresh water tanks on board (375 liters each), 470 liters diesel tank and 4 heads. Displacement is 16.5 tons.

Sailing - Mainsail 70sq. meteres, genoa - 45 sq. meters. There is everything you need for a sea voyage. And a corkscrew - as an integral part of the equipment of the boat)).

The control post is located in the right side of the cockpit on an elevation and it is combined with a flybridge (as far as this concept applies to a sailing catamaran))). Visibility for the skipper while docking is good enough, but we do not reccomend to dock alone on this boat.

The glazing of the wardroom is continuous and executed on all sides - this gives a huge amount of light, which means joy and good mood. In addition, there is a panoramic window on the ceiling and a hatch for ventilation. In general, the cockpit and interior are very spacious, you can feel the approach of the French from Fountaine Pajot.

Two engines of 50hp each - this is enough for a 8.5 knots speed under the engine in calm weather. Moreover, the boat is quite fast under the sails as the designers from Berrett-Racoupeau took care of this.
