The purpose of United Nations Language Day is to promote multilingualism and cultural diversity. English is a language that brings people from different countries and cultures together. It acts as a link language.

There is also an important reason behind the celebration of English Day by the United Nations. This day marks the birthday of the great English language writer, William Shakespeare. On this day, English famous William Shakespeare was born and he also died on this day. Shakespeare wrote 38 plays in his lifetime.

The English language is believed to have originated in medieval England and is currently one of the most widely spoken languages ​​in the world.
