Every product needs a good pitchman. For the Embraer Legacy 500, that person is movie legend, Jackie Chan. The kung fu star and Academy Award winner is a former Embraer brand ambassador and owns a small fleet of the company's private jets, including the first Legacy 500 in delivered to China.

According to Embraer, Chan uses the $20 million Embraer 500 for shorter trips within China while a larger airliner-based Legacy 650 is used for trans-oceanic flights.

Bombardier Global 7500 can connect almost any two points of the globe, including New York to Hong Kong and Singapore to San Francisco 🛩️

It has even flown from Sydney to Detroit before — a route that’s 8,225 nautical miles long.

With four separate living areas and a range of up to 7,700 nautical miles (8,861 miles), this is the largest and longest-range option in the business jet category — a tad farther than the Gulfstream G700.

Based on the earlier Global 6000, the 7500 boasts features including a new transonic wing and a four-zone cabin – according to Bombardier, the type has a cabin height, width and length of 6ft 2in, 8ft and 54ft 5in, respectively.

The type’s maiden flight occurred on November 4, 2016 while the first production Global 7500 entered service in December 2018. By March 2021, Bombardier handed over the milestone 50th example.

Regarding flight times, the Global 7500 is capable of a Mach 0.90 high-speed cruise, while the new, larger and lower-drag wing is optimised for Mach 0.85. However, the type has attained Mach 0.925; for instance, during March 2019, the Global 7500 broke a speed record between Los Angeles and New York (specifically Van Nuys Airport to Teterboro Airport, New Jersey) in just 3hrs 54 mins – maintaining Mach 0.925 in the process for more than two hours.
