Creative Project NovaManta , hybrid deployable pods, convertible to multihull. •••• Several reasons for SWATH, the primary being that the large payload of the two independent deployable hulls allows for a relatively small and simple vessel as a platform, vs dimensions and complex systems that would be required to carry and deploy these payloads from a conventional vessel.

Additionally, this solution allows for nearly unlimited "linger points" for mission profiles that would benefit from reconnaissance or presence offshore, while holding subsea payloads in suspension ready for instant launch for sudden needs, that would otherwise have to have a more complex support vessel or use more energy and fuel to maintain coordinates if deployed individually. The main vessel can also navigate without the pods, allowing more applications after launch, or return to mothership for the installation of new payloads.

Furthermore, the incredible stability of the SWATH platform allows a wider action window in adverse sea states, not requiring ideal conditions for predictable navigation and launch/retrieval ops, which is crucial for regions such as the offshore conditions around certain zone off of Europe and other theaters of operation.

The stability of the NA solution also works well for more sensitive hardware and sensors, especially for sending out aerial drone swarms and so on. The benefits of the SWATH platform run deep and wide.

Our SWATH designs always go exciting places. The Vipera started as a chase vessel and proof of concept for another larger SWATH project, but since then it has evolved into a singular creature in its own right. Some of our favorite design details on the ultra ski. The shape of the saddle was inspired by a synthesis of classical saddle shaping combined with insect thoraxes! 🐝🐝🐝
