Erham in Arabic means 'Take Pity' or 'Be Compassionate'. Our main focus is sterilisation.

We're a small group of animal loving people from Azemmour, who along with our founder Anne Heslop (UK) aim to stop the suffering of local street animals.

This poor cat, like many others is suffering from severe mange. Luckily we brought stronghold plus with us and we can help him feel a whole lot better! 5 cats treated so far........

This is what we do everytime we cat catch, sterilise and return in the souks and the rubbish tip. We don't have ERHAM transport but even if we did the souks are for pedestrians. Our trusty carosa drivers help us all the time and enjoy being involved with the cats. 5 MORE CATS STERILISED!! Thank you all for your support. You can see it all goes to the cats and dogs!

We LOVE taking sterilised cats back to their kittens, knowing that the cycle of reproduction has been stopped. Better still, Mum has also been vaccinated and the kittens (not all hers) will benefit from improved immunity. Mum can now live in peace..... well soon she can.......

6 MORE CATS STERILISED!! We are really making a difference here in Azemmour. We love to see the eartipped, sterilised street cats, and love that local people support what we do. No longer is sterilisation seen as HARAM. Just happy, contented, healthy cats!

This poor boy must have been struggling with a broken leg for months. He was dumped at the rubbish tip, so we immediately vaccinated him and will prepare him for surgery. Please donate when you can! https://www.gofundme.com/f/Help-for-Kittens-Dumped-on-a-Rubbish-Tip---Morocco

IT'S A LANDMARK DAY!! We have started our vaccination campaign to protect the kittens at the rubbish tip. We started with 6 lactating females which will give better immunity to the many abandoned little ones they gather and feed. It feels SO good!

THIS IS SO LOVELY! Many local people ask us to sterilise their street cats. They love them and understand the huge benefits. She told us that this girl has had 4 litters and none of the kittens survived. She is ERHAM!

It was lovely to arrive to Azemmour station and be greeted by HEALTHY STERILISED CATS! Ahead will be a difficult kitten season at the rubbish tip so it's good to start with a positive!

THIS IS WHY WE STERILISE! These kind locals have been feeding this Mum street cat and kittens but noticed an injury or infection under her tail and contacted Zahira. She also looks like she could be pregnant again. We'll take her to Baki (our wonderful vet) for a diagnosis, and do the best we can for her. Not only is her health compromised, these kittens will struggle to survive and the ones who do, will go on to parent more kittens and continue the cycle of suffering. Please donate when you can to help these and so many others. Thank you kind Azemmourians for helping them!

Complications during birthing is another good reason to sterilise. (as if we need another good reason!) This poor girl was dumped heavily pregnant outside Fatimas house, and went into labour a few days later. She couldn't produce her kittens - dystocia is a medical emergency but luckily we were able to help her. Thank you Fatima and Baki!
