Starting from 15 May, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have decided to open up their borders for citizens and holders of residence permits, effectively creating a small, unrestricted area in the .

As a result, travel within the 3 Baltic states is now easily possible for citizens and holders of residence permits, if the following conditions are met:

- have not traveled outside the Baltic States within the last 14 days
- are not in self-isolation due to having tested positive for COVID19 or having been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID19
- have no symptoms of a respiratory infection.

Those meeting the conditions above are free to cross the borders of the 3 Baltic states. They are also exempt from the mandatory 14-day quarantine applied to passengers arriving from other countries, but other implemented local regulations and social distancing rules have to be followed (for example, at the Latvia-Lithuania borders, document checks continue).

For flights outside the 3 Baltic states, all regulations remain the same for now.

we would like to briefly inform you about the current situation in regards to Business Aviation in Latvia and the implemented COVID19 measures here at Riga International Airport.

As many of you have noticed, the Latvian Government has recently introduced protective measures against the spread of COVID19, including the closure of Riga International Airport for international flights. However, technical stops, repatriation and evacuation flights can still be performed, provided a special permit is obtained from the Latvian Transport Ministry.
