It was a great moment to pause, reflect, and enjoy being part of this company. We invited colleagues to share their reflections, memories, and thoughts.
Many talked about growth, about support, about trust, about collaboration.
And of course - about the people.
Because C.T.Co is not just about projects, technologies, or results.

Recently, 7 teams and 35 Brain Game enthusiasts gave their minds a workout - all before lacing up for the running marathon in May 🏃♀️🏃♂️
Brains activated 🧠💥
Team spirit unlocked 🤝
That’s how we do Brain Games .
Moments like these remind us that learning and fun go perfectly hand in hand - and that strong teams grow not only at work, but also beyond it.
Already looking forward to the next challenge 💡

This week, we celebrate the creative minds behind how our ideas are seen, felt, and experienced - our talented Graphic and UI/UX Designers. 🎨
On International Design Day, we want to say thank you for your passion, patience, and pixel‑perfect dedication. Your work goes far beyond visuals - it shapes experiences, solves problems, and brings clarity to complexity.
And while we’re celebrating, let’s also take a look at a few Design Myths vs. Reality 👇
Myth #1:
UX designers just make things look prettier.
What our colleagues say:
We do make things look better, but appearance alone is not enough. “Looking good” is only one part of the design process: it’s equally important to think about user needs, ease of use, clarity, and many other aspects.
Myth #2:
If you can design an app, you can design anything.
What our colleagues say:
It depends on the product. The design principles are similar for digital applications and physical products, but while user experience applies to any area where people interact with products or services, designing a chair or a car is slightly different discipline than designing an app or a website.
One of the most common myths about Office Managers?
“The Office Manager just brings coffee.” ☕️
We decided to let our imagination run a little wild - and give a voice to the everyday objects that are part of an Office Manager’s daily life.
Whatch what the planner, laptop, business travel schedules have to say.
Do you agree that, in reality the Office Manager keeps the entire office running?
Happy Administrative Professionals Day - with a smile and appreciation 🩵

What a day at the Almost Java Focused 151st DevClub.lv event! Catch the highlights!
Last Friday (March 12), we gathered at the C.T.Co office for an agenda-packed DevClub.lv session with practical backend engineering insights, architecture lessons, and real-world examples. Thank you to our speakers - Anton Ragutskii, Mārtiņš Ceske and Māris Ločmelis - your insights delivered exceptional value and sparked great discussions.
🎙 Anton Ragutskii
“Durable Ex*****on in Practice: Eliminating Failure Classes in Distributed Systems with Temporal”
Anton provided a deep dive into how workflow‑as‑code and durable ex*****on patterns help simplify long‑running business processes and reduce failure scenarios in distributed systems. His real-world experience across fintech, gaming, and enterprise systems made the subject both relatable and highly actionable.
🎙 Mārtiņš Ceske (C.T.Co)
“From Prompt to Production: AI‑Assisted Development for Java Engineers”
Mārtiņš demonstrated how AI tools can support an entire development lifecycle - from generating user stories and tests to implementation and code review. His talk showed how AI can serve as a practical, everyday development assistant without removing engineers from important architectural decision-making.
🎙 Māris Ločmelis
“Things to Make Your Life Easier When Building Complex Apps in Java”
Māris walked us through structural patterns that help keep Java applications predictable, maintainable, and free from spaghetti‑code pitfalls. He showcased examples of poor code (and why it fails) alongside well‑structured solutions that use abstraction correctly. It was a great talk for anyone who wants to build cleaner, more scalable Java applications.
Thank you!
A huge thank‑you to everyone who joined us for the discussions and networking.
The “Almost Java” theme once again proved that the best engineering stories go beyond just one language - touching systems design, AI, architecture, resilience, and code quality.
Until next time - see you at the next DevClub.lv!
