Shopping center NORDIKA was one of the first BIM projects of this complexity in Lithuania. Documentation, time management, and price calculations were all successfully merged into a single five-dimensional model of the building. All steel and concrete structures were modelled, constructed, and installed without a single mistake. This was despite the very tight schedules for planning and construction. BIM and Tekla Structures were efficient tools in making this all possible.

Construction company SKANSKA in the prestigious Malmö district Limhamns Sjöstad develops a residential building complex. This is only one part of the planned 12 such complexes. The structural engineering design was entrusted to Descon.

"Arka" office building. This exceptional design building is unique not only because of its looks, but also cause of its extremely high energy efficiency rating of A+.
BIM: All of the project investors understood why BIM is so important for such building. Building information model allows us to optimize construction process and find any mistakes that would go unnoticed when using conventional 2D modeling methods. Furthermore, we avoid any clash of structural elements which results in significant cost and time savings.

This building was built in far north of Sweden. It was completed in 2014 and is now fully in use. Unique features of this project:
BIM: Building was engineered using BIM technologies, which allowed us to avoid any mistakes that are usually made when 2D modeling. Amount of materials and work force needed was calculated accurately too. We avoided any inaccuracies between different building parts and clash of structural elements, architectural parts and other components.

OSTERSUND apartment building - Descon This building was built in far north of Sweden. It was completed in 2014 and is now fully in use. Unique features of this project:

Project: four-story, 60 thousand sq.m. area shopping mall VILNIUS OUTLET. The largest outlet network in the Baltic States, including cafe, sports club, cinema and grocery store.
Tekla Structures was used for structural engineering design.
Structural Engineering: Post-Tension concrete monolith and steel structures.

Descon structural engineering projects - "Shopping mall Vilnius Outlet" Descon projects - Shopping mall Vilnius Outlet. Post-Tension concrete monolith and steel structures were modelled using Tekla Structures software.

Stadsbyggnadsnämnden i Malmö har gett HSB bygglov att uppföra brf Kaptenen i Limhamns Sjöstad. Det är det sista som byggs vid kajen och brf Kaptenen blir därmed pusselbiten som fullbordar hela området.

Uniqueness of this building:
High energy efficiency rating: This building meets highest European Union requirements. Building will achieve A energy efficiency class.
BIM: Thanks to BIM technologies building construction time decreased noticeably. We also made "As Built" model which allows to optimize building maintenance and running costs.
