Applications for Cohort 2 of the METI UniPods AI Innovation Programme are officially open today!

timbuktoo UniPods are looking for innovators building early-stage AI and AI-enabled solutions who are ready to take their ideas further. You can apply as an individual or as a team.

No pitch decks needed. Just real code, real ideas and the drive to build.

Selected innovators will have access to an AI course from MIT, AI technical skilling and structured support to develop their solutions, Wadhwani’s 14-week entrepreneurship programme, technical mentors and the wider timbuktoo network, with the chance to join an in-person bootcamp in Addis Ababa.

Female innovators are especially encouraged to apply.

Today, we hosted our first-ever OPEN POD at Sebopi Unipod.

An Open Pod is more than just a gathering. It is a space where innovators, entrepreneurs, students, creators and changemakers come together to connect, learn, share ideas, showcase what they are building, discover UniPod resources and spark new collaborations.

Today’s Open Pod was also a special opportunity to celebrate our innovators who successfully made it into the METI AI UniPod Programme, a Japan-supported programme focused on strengthening African innovators through AI, entrepreneurship, prototyping, mentorship and venture development.
