The Women's Health Day Lesotho logo embodies the values at the heart of our movement: health, dignity, protection, empowerment, and sustainable development.
Each symbol was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the strength, resilience, and experiences of Basotho women. From the iconic Mosotho hat to the symbols of healthcare, womanhood, growth, and protection, every element tells a story of hope, healing, and empowerment.
Together, we remain committed to advancing women's health, promoting access to quality healthcare, and creating opportunities for women and girls to thrive.

Today, our volunteer, Mammota Selemo, participated in the Anti-Doping Capacity-Building Workshop hosted by the Lesotho National Olympic Committee at Scripture Union.

We are proud to share that, following her participation and commitment to clean sport, Mamosa has been appointed as the Federation of DanceSport Lesotho Anti-Doping Officer.

This is a proud moment for Maleah Foundation. It speaks to the growth, discipline, and leadership of young people when they are given space to learn, serve, and lead.

Congratulations, Mamosa. We are proud of you.๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

This video feature is an important reminder that menstruation is not a private struggle that girls must carry in silence. It is a social justice issue that needs families, schools, communities, government, and partners to respond with care and urgency.

A special shout out to โ€œI Choose To Actโ€ Network of Friends for their generous donation towards securing pads for adolescent girls.

Period dignity begins with care, not just donation.

When we give period products to girls, we must do our research and ask ourselves: Would I use this product, and would I give it to my own daughter? If the answer is NO, then it should not be given to a vulnerable girl.

This is why Maleah Foundation is happy to partner with Dear Bella Lesotho , a brand that supports adolescent girls with comfort, dignity, and confidence.

Meet Mohleka. During our Safe Period Hangout, he reminded us why boys must be included in menstrual health awareness and education. While making menstrual bracelets, he asked for extra beads so he could teach his 18-year-old sister at home. That moment showed us that boys are not just watching from the side. When included, they listen, learn, and carry the message into their homes. At Maleah Foundation, we believe boys are allies in ending period stigma through shared knowledge, respect, and open conversations.

We often hear that many adolescents are scared to approach nurses because they fear they will be judged, dismissed, or met with too much seriousness.

This was not the case during our Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration. We could not have asked for a better nurse from Vitality Health . She was warm, friendly, welcoming, and full of laughter. She created a safe space for the girls to learn, ask questions, and feel comfortable talking about their bodies.

She spoke to the learners about menstruation, period pains, and practical tips on how to manage them. These are the kind of health conversations young people need, conversations that are clear, kind, and free from shame.

Thank you to Vitality Health Lesotho for supporting our work and for showing us what adolescent-friendly health care can look like. Our girls deserve health workers who make them feel seen, heard, and safe.

Our work is rooted in dignity, safety, and justice for adolescent girls and young women. From menstrual health education, school visits, pad drives, girlsโ€™ clubs, advocacy, and community conversations, we continue to show up where it matters most.

Our work does not end with awareness days or special events. It is everyday work, because period poverty, stigma, and inequality are everyday realities.

We keep building period-friendly schools, safer communities, and spaces where girls can learn, lead, and rise with confidence.
