‎Orlando Pirates announce a five-year naming rights deal that will see Orlando Stadium renamed to Orlando Amstel Arena due to sponsorship reasons

‎2015 it was renamed "Lafarge Orlando Stadium" after the cement giants helped in terms of maintainance of the stadium
‎
‎This is great for SMSA to secure this sponsorship because keeping a big & historical venue up to standard needs a lot of money not emotions.

‎On top of that, the venue is set to undergo renovations. During Orlando Stadium's renovations, Orlando Pirates could use:
‎
‎- FNB Stadium (Soccer City) in Johannesburg – their go-to for big matches, capacity ~94,000.
‎- Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto – local option, capacity ~24,000.
‎- Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg – versatile venue, capacity ~62,000.
