Mpox Vaccine taken by the Director-General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) Dr. Dougbeh Chris Nyan.

This is NPHIL most recent report on the Mpox in Liberia.

In this report, NPHIL is simply saying that from January 1to May 11, there are only 78 people that have been confirmed to have Mpox in Liberia and out of this number, 77 person have recovered and there's only 1 person who is currently active with the Mpox virus. It also shows that there has been no dealth caused by the disease in Liberia.

Bravo to National Public Health Institute of Liberia-NPHIL for such timely report. This report shows that NPHIL is making a very significant progress in the fight against Mpox and there's no need to be afraid. Meanwhile let us all work together by:

1. Adhering to all preventive measures to save ourselves and the next person.

2. Spread awareness by sharing and believing health information only from reliable sources such as NPHIL or the Ministry of Health, Republic of Liberia to avoid misinformation and disinformation.

3. Report any suspected case by calling 4455: Early detection can help to stop the spread of the virus.

Congratulations to our CEO, Carlton Mewaseh Kruah Jr. on successfully completing the Millennium Fellowship program organized by Millennium Campus Network and the United Nations Academic Impact, where he served as campus director. During this time, he led a group of AME University students through several trainings and successfully completed a project on antimicrobial resistance, a global issue that poses significant threats to human, animal, and environmental health. This project is consistent with the UN Sustainable Development Goal #3, which is good health and well-being.
