π¨ Fake AFL Soldiers Arrested in Bandersville Operation π¨ππ
The Anti-Robbery Unit of the Liberia National Police (LNP) has apprehended and formally charged two men, Shadrach Dingwall and Philip W. D.B. Randy, for allegedly impersonating members of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).
The suspects were arrested on February 15, 2026, at Bandersville Junction while dressed in full military camouflage and falsely presenting themselves as active-duty soldiers.
Police reports indicate that the pair allegedly pepper-sprayed a motorcyclist, identified as Frank Roberts, before stealing his Bajaj motorbike. Further investigations suggest the suspects may have been intimidating and harassing residents across several communities while posing as military personnel.
Authorities have charged the two men with robbery, theft of property, impersonating an official, and criminal conspiracy. They have since been forwarded to court for prosecution in line with Liberian law.
