If you will succeed at something non conventional, you might have to leave what you are accustomed to. Sometimes people just will not understand or adapt your way of thinking. Rather than letting them hinder yourself progress, you might just have to leave.
Leaving can mean anything: unfriend some people, travel to a new place, isolate yourself, etc.
The Hammer or the Nail - Which Would You Rather Be?
The hammer is like a big brother, a father, or a mentor. He understands his purpose and carries it out diligently. Although he inflicts pain, he knows that with every blow, the nail stands firmer and sinks deeper, reaching its destiny. It's painful for the hammer, as it is often not appreciated during the process. Yet, he keeps on striking; for he knows that his strikes are the only reason the nail will ever become purposeful.
The nail is like a son. It lacks understanding of why it must be struck over the head by its hammer. Strikes are painful, the nail does not appreciate them; worse, he does not know when they will end. All it hears from its hammer is "trust the process, nail. One day you will understand and you will forever be grateful".
Guess what, everyone has been a nail; and if you live long enough, to the fullest, you will become a hammer.

If your path does not require college, don’t think you must attend just because your friends are attending. These days, many people do not even use the degree they earned.
