Gambian Trio Shines in Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League Opener

The Gambian trio of Sally Jatta, Penda Colley, and Veronica Sambou made an impressive debut for Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League defending champions, Mogbwemo Queens.

These talented players wasted no time making their mark, displaying remarkable skills and composure on the pitch. Sally Jatta, a dynamic midfielder, introduced herself to the league in style by scoring a brilliant brace. Meanwhile, defenders Penda Colley and Veronica Sambou showcased their strength and tactical awareness, anchoring the backline and securing the team’s first clean sheet of the season.

Mogbwemo Queens will look to build on this strong start as they travel to Kenema next Sunday for their second match
