Even after Christoph The Change issued an apology to his fans, the controversy surrounding his performance at St. Theresa Convent Catholic High School continues to draw strong reactions.
Several fans have taken to Facebook to express deep disappointment, stressing concerns about the kind of messages being passed on to children. One supporter, Jesus Son Rich, questioned how parents would feel if their children repeated explicit song lyrics at home in front of respected elders, highlighting the embarrassment and social impact such music can cause.
Others called on Liberian artists to grow in maturity, reminding them that young people closely follow and learn from their music. Some fans argued that the situation reflects a bigger problem within the music industry, pointing to the absence of strong systems to regulate content.
Praise K. Nelson and others went further to suggest that songs with explicit content should be banned entirely to help protect children, warning that what kids hear today quickly becomes what they practice tomorrow.
Overall, while the apology was noted, many fans believe the issue goes beyond one performance and demands responsibility, structure, and respect for audiences especially children.
