This Christmas, I reflect with a heart full of gratitude and faith.
My journey began at my grandmother’s side a seamstress whose hands taught me my very first lessons in sewing. That was where my love for fashion was planted. Even as a young girl, I knew this was more than a skill; it was a calling.
I asked my parents to allow me to attend fashion school, but the path wasn’t easy. I was encouraged to first earn a degree so I did. I went to college and earned my BSc. I also attended airline school and obtained a diploma. Yet deep inside, I felt unfulfilled. Fashion never stopped calling me back.
When I finally entered fashion school, everything aligned. Today, I can proudly say I honored my purpose. I’ve made my grandmother proud. I’ve made my parents proud. And to my dear friend Ghost gone but never from my heart I wish you were here to witness this moment. You believed in me long before the world did.
This Christmas, with faith and thanksgiving, I proudly announce the opening of PADE Couture Fashion School on February 2, 2026, right here in Liberia .
A vision rooted in faith, legacy, and perseverance created to empower women, inspire youth, and raise the next generation of fashion designers.

Liberians far and wide,
Across the seas and lands,
With joy swelling inside.

They celebrate independence,
A flame burning bright,
Oldest star on Africa’s flag,
Shining through the night.

I have seen kings fall, rebels rise,
Tasted war and danced in peace’s skies.
But still I stand,
Still I speak,
Still I rise.

Today is not just a holiday,
But a heartbeat, a call to stay
Awake with wisdom, vision clear,
Building futures free from fear.

For what is freedom if youth are chained?
If minds are silent, futures stained?
No more. We are children of the free,
Not addicts to destruction’s plea.

We were made for more, for greatness true,
Iron hills, golden sands, rivers blue.
Market women, barefoot kings,
Strength in stories our spirit sings.

So today, on this sacred day,
We wave more than flags we say
No to drugs, yes to dreams,
To education, purpose streams.

We say yes to rising youth,
To leaders who serve with truth.
Queens, not casualties, take their place,
Boys build dreams with steady pace.

I am Liberia
Not just land but people’s grace,
Not just past but promise bright,
Rising strong in freedom’s light.

As one voice, one people, one purpose we stand,
Long live Liberia this proud land.
