Under our spotlight today is a Geo-petroleum expert, a scholar and an entrepreneur in Mr. Ansumana EM Dukuly alias Geopetro. He hails from Tusu Town, Quardu Gboni District and currently resides in Monrovia. Mr. Ansumana EM Dukuly had his BSc in Petroleum engineering(second upper honors) from the International University of East Africa in Kampala, Uganda. Never satisfy with his taste for academy, he went on to attain a Master degree in Petroleum Geoscience at the Ajayi Crowther University in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mr Dukuly is currently pursuing a double doctorate degree in Energy Studies and Policies and Petroleum Geoscience at the University of Ibadan and the Ajayi Crowther University respectively. Throughout his days in High School, he was given double promotion several times and duxed his school most often and was the veledictorian of the Conakry Refugee School which he graduated from in 2002. He came back to Liberia and sat the Private Candidate Examination of WAEC and came out with Division One, thereby becoming the first Liberian student to have done so in the history of WAEC Liberia at the time in late 2003. He has several training certificates in Petroleum related courses, including a certificate in Petroleum Database Management, specializing in Oil Gas Databases and another in Petroleum Database Management, this time specializing in Petroleum Operation for Database Administrators. No wonder he earned the nickname "Geopetro" because of his resourcefulnesses in the field of Petroleum. He currently works with Gboni Enterprise as Operation Manager/ Senior Stock analyst and is the CEO of Tussu Petroleum. In 2014 he became member of SPE chapter of Uganda at Makerere University and International University and in 2017, he became member of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist and Geoscientists NAPEG. Mr. Dukuly is happily married with several beautiful kids. Aside from being a scholar and an entrepreneur, he is also a humanitarian.

Today, we are privileged to have the Secretary-General of Quardu Gboni Mandingo Association in America QGMAA, under our spotlight—Madam Masue Kamara.
She is from Jarmulor Town, Quardu Gboni District, Lofa county Liberia.
Madam Kamara graduated from Paynesville central academy high school in 2004. She later enrolled at the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University AMEZU in 2009 and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Sociology and Public Administration. Upon graduation, she participated in a 6weeks teacher training workshop and peace-building training sponsor by UNICEF and the Ministry of youth and sports.
She has several workshops and training certificates from International Organizations. She attended a one-month workshop in 2007 under a local NGO to educate people on the Old and the new r**e bills and also the prevention of r**e and how to make sure the community treats the matter when it comes to the victims and perpetrators. Making sure police get involved and health personal as well and ensuring that the victims get the justice they deserve. That entire process lasted for one year.
Upon graduation from University and after her teacher and peacebuilding training, she was recruited as one of the National volunteers to serve in 9 counties in Liberia. As a national volunteer assigned in B**g county, Suakoko District to teach in Suakoko central high school and also work with co-workers to unite her country after the civil war. She was in the classroom and at the same time carrying on peacebuilding in various communities. Madam Fofana thought English and composition/Writing from 9-12 grades. Making sure students reading and writing skills were improved.
She was very passionate about the success of her students in the National Exam (WAEC). She got her Visa to travel to the United States but held the visa and plane ticket for the 5th month just to make sure her students went for WAEC and graduated in her presence before traveling. When the WAEC results were out, both 9th graders and 12 graders of her school had an outstanding performance which made her proud every day.
In 2018 October, she became the General Secretary of Quardu Gboni Mandingo Association in America and up to the present going into another convention. She is a community organizer, women's rights advocate, and happily married.

We are pleased and honored to featured Matenah H. Sannoh, the Founder & Executive Director of Awareness for Surviving Women and Children - ASWAC as the second female under our spotlight of change makers.
Like so many immigrant families, Matenah H. Sannoh family’s story is the story of a refugee, who came to the United States and was welcomed with open arms. She immediately began volunteering because she believes in the importance and necessity of working together for a common goal to help her community.
Sannoh attended Delaware County Community College in Media, Pennsylvania where she earned her first degree in Health Science. Through hard work and dedication, she then moved on to attend the prestigious Widener University School of Nursing in Chester, Pennsylvania where she earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing. She was awarded the Lillian B. Wald Community Health Award as a graduating senior from Widener University School of Nursing for demonstrating excellence in the ability to promote the health of a community and in providing nursing care to ill clients in their homes.
Sannoh is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), which educates one to build on leadership skills, career success, and empowers others to have a positive impact on the community. Her drive for community involvement and outreach was demonstrated during the Ebola pandemic in West Africa. For example, she volunteered for the Liberian Red Cross where she was a hygiene and sanitation promoter. In 2020, Sannoh volunteered at a Facility in Moorestown, New Jersey to care for Covid-19 patients. In the past year, she volunteered in the local community to administer Covid-19 vaccines.
Sannoh is a global advocate for women and children. She is the founder and Executive Director of Awareness for Surviving Women and Children (ASWAC). She believes that women and children that have had or who are going through abuse and trauma are heroes and survivors. These women and children must not be represented as "victims" objectified and stigmatized in our communities. Instead, they should be uplifted and provided with the support they need for better emotional, mental, and physical health. With the support of our communities, we can make this world a better place, free from abuse and harassment for all women and children regardless of socioeconomic status, race, color, ethnicity, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, nationality, language, actual or perceived disability, mental and physical disability, or cultural affiliation. In addition to her work with ASWAC, she is currently seeking ways to enhance her Nursing Degree through further education and continued involvement in the community.

The first female under the Spotlight today is Attorney Matengay Turay, an outstanding Liberian Lawyer, and entrepreneur.
Attorney Matengay Turay is a licensed Lawyer who is called to the Liberia Bar. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Laws [LLM] studies at the Benue State University, Markurdi, Nigeria. She's a product of the King's University College in Ghana, where she graduated as the Overall Best Graduating Student in 2019 and the Best Graduating student at the Faculty of Law. Attorney Matengay is one of the youngest Lawyers - if not the youngest in Liberia. She was called to the Bar and added to the role of a lawyer at the age of 24.
Not only is she an Academician, but she is also a humanitarian and entrepreneur. She founded an NGO called ‘Noah’s Daughter Foundation for Justice and Rehabilitation’. This NGO seeks to intervene for wrongfully convicted inmates and provide rehabilitation and skills training for convicted inmates.
Attorney Matengay is the CEO of ND CAKE PALACE, a Liberian business that provides all kinds of catering services for all occasions.

Today under our spotlight is a cyber security practitioner, humanitarian and former representative aspirant in Montserrado District #13.
Andy Bropleh Jallah was born on Monday, January 6, 1992, in Battery Factory Community, the township of Lower New Georgia. He began his primary education at the DZMI in Battery Factory. He later enrolled at the Henri Wilmot Dennis High School before completing his senior secondary high school at the First AG High School on Buchanan Street in 2005 finished Division 1 in the WAEC.
He taught several high schools in Liberia with his foundation knowledge in Physics and Mathematics. After his recent undergraduate study in 2017, he graduated with a Bachelor in Information Technology from Starz University, formerly Starz College of Science and Technology; he worked with Mwetana Technology Consultant as Network Engineer before completing two contracts with the European Union Delegation to Liberia. He served as Head of IT.
Andy's contribution to society is in many ways, especially impacting his environment from his community to the world. He established his foundation in 2016 called ABJ foundation, partnering with international institutions to help many young Liberians achieve their dream by sending them overseas for studies in several countries, including South Africa, UK, India, USA, Dubai, and Ghana.
Andy love of technology kept him at the stage where he holds several international technology certificates from India, South Africa, and the USA. He is currently doing his Master of Science Studies in Cybersecurity at the Grand Canyon University in the USA and is expected to graduate on October 14, 2021, at 9 am with a department honor.
Currently, he is the political leader of the Team Andy Movement in District #13 and the CEO of Legal Communications Inc. and the ABJ Foundation.
Mr. Bropleh Jallah is married with three children and two adopted children.
Andy received an ambassadorial award in Ghana in 2019, where he was among a group of young Africans attending the International Youth Diplomacy Conference. He also participated at the ECOWAS submit in 2019, representing Liberia through his Team.
Andy received recognition for his numerous support to young people in the diaspora from a group of Liberians in Dubai in 2018 during his third visit to the UAE.
Andy success story has inspired many others from the slums and ghettos Communitie across the country.

Under our spotlight today is Mr Nvasekie Konneh.
Nvasekie N. Konneh is a Liberian writer, poet, magazine publisher, community and cultural activist whose works have been widely published in newspapers and on websites in Liberia, US and Europe. Years before coming to the United States in 1995, Nvasekie Konneh’s commentaries and poems on politics, arts and culture appeared regularly in the Eye newspaper and the Monrovia Daily News, Inquirer and the New Democrat. While living in New York City, his articles appeared in the African Voices literary magazine as well as the City Sun and the Black Star News newspapers. In April 2002, he participated and won the First Place Award in the Liberian Civil War poetry competition held in Providence, Rhode Island under the sponsorship of the Liberian Community Association of Rhode Island. The winning poem in that competition was "Scene of Sorrow II". In 2003, the prolific Liberian writer and poet published his first book of poems, Going to War for America.
To the surprise of many who had admired his writings back in Liberia and who hoped he would continue to pursue literary career in the US, Nvasekie Konneh enlisted in the US Navy in August 1996. He served for nine unbroken years between 1996 and 2005. While serving in the US Navy, Nvasekie Konneh made two deployments on board the USS Detroit, a navy logistic ship based at the Navy Weapon Station, Earle, New Jersey. His last deployment was part of the Operation Desert Fox, an American-British military engagement against the regime of Saddam Hussein in December 1998 after his expulsion of the UN weapon inspectors. Nvasekie’s ship, USS Detroit was also part in the operation to liberate Kosovo. From September 2000 to September 2003, he took assignment in Philadelphia with the SALTS Team at the Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP). After his three-year shore duty, Nvasekie Konneh’s next assignment took him to the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) or the "IKE" as the aircraft carrier is affectionately called. The IKE is home-ported in Norfolk, Virginia.
While serving on active duty in the U. S. Navy, Nvasekie Konneh did not burry his activist side. He was the founding chairman of the National Civil Right Movement (NCRM), a Philadelphia based Liberian pro-democracy and human rights organization. Through this organization, Nvasekie Konneh led more than 700 people in demonstration in Washington DC on September 16, 2002 at the Liberian Embassy, demanding the unconditional release of the then imprisoned Liberian journalist, Hassan Bility, and other illegally detained Liberians by the brutal regime of Charles Taylor. Few months later, he led another demonstration in Washington DC, this time at the U.S. Capitol against the continued illegal detention of Liberian human rights activist, Aloysius Toe and others.
The Land of My Father’s Birth is the latest book by Nvasekie Konneh. It was launched on February 23, 2013 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since then he continues to have book signing events in various places in the US as well as in Liberia.

Under our spotlight, today is a Liberian business tycoon, politician, humanitarian, legal student, and a representative aspirant in Montserrado County, District #2.
Hon. Musa MASHCO Sheriff was born in Nyansein-Saclepea, Nimba County. In his very early teens, young Musa traveled from Nimba to Monrovia to seek greener pastures and to explore the opportunity he needed to maximize his full potential.
While in Monrovia without his parents, Honorable Sherif shined shoes and sold wallet markets just to obtain his secondary education. In 1997 honorable Musa Sherif attended the cathedral catholic school and later enrolled at the First Assembly of God High School where he graduated with honor in 2001.
In 2008, Hon. Sherif satisfactorily earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting and economics from the University of Liberia. Not being pleased with his academic accomplishments, Hon. Sheriff again enrolled at the University of Liberia Master program and obtained a Master in Business Administration(MBA) in Banking & Finance.
Hon. The sheriff is currently a student at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law where he enrolled in 2016.
Aside from his feat in academia, Honorable Musa Sherif is a very successful businessman and humanitarian. He is the Executive Chairman of the MUSA A.SHERIF HOLDING COMPANIES, a business conglomerate that deals in Human Health, Petroleum Products, Safe drinking water production, pharmaceutical products, and general constructions. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of International Gas Station Incorporated. As a trusted and credible businessman who understands networking, the chain of well-structured retail petrol organization, his gas station earned the trust of the government to supply petroleum products to many of its ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Health, University of Liberia, National Election Commission, Forestry Development Authority, National Election Commissions, the National Bureau of Concessions along with other privates institutions and NGOs.
From 2007 to 2017, Honorable Musa Sherif served as president of International Petrol Line Inc., a petroleum distributing entity. Under his leadership as president of the International Petrol Line, Mr. Sherif employed and empowered many Liberians including students. From 2008 to 2010, Honorable Sherif also served as General Manager for Gulf Trading Enterprise Incorporated, an importer of petroleum products in Liberia. As the result of his advanced understanding in the area of Petroleum, Honorable Musa Sherif was vetted and subsequently appointed as Operation and General Manager for SRIMEX Oil and Gas Company, a renowned and leading Liberian petroleum importation organization. He is currently the president of the Petroleum Distributors Union of Liberia and is a senior advisor on policy and trade to the president of the Liberia Business Association LIBA.
Currently, he is the Board Chair of MASHCO Medical and Surgical Center, a long-time functional institution that has been existing since 2009, even during the height of the deadly Ebola crisis; the facility was opened while many closed out of fear. The MASHCO Medical has been uniquely providing services to the Liberian people.
Honorable Sherif is an ordained humanitarian and a philanthropist. He has given out several scholarships across various schools in Liberia. He has also given financial aids and microfinance loans to market women. He has an organization that is basically involved with supporting health centers, assisting clergymen, distributing the basic health care equipment and quality drugs. He also provides safe drinking water and is a founding member of the Liberia Water Union, an organization responsible for providing safe drinking water.
Hon. Sherif is the Board Chair and CEO of the Vision Communication Network Incorporated (StrongFm 98.3)

Under our spotlight today is Mr. Ishmael Kamara.
Mr. Ishmael Kamara is a son of Quardu Gboni hailing from Bulor Town specifically. Mr. Kamara is happily married, and is a professional banker at Ecobank Liberia Ltd. He is a former School Instructor, and Administrator.
He began his primary education at the Clara Town Elementary and Junior High School(CTE) and graduated from the First Assembly of God Mission High School ( First AGM) on Buchanan Street in 2008, where he served as student leader.
He graduated from the University of Liberia in 2016 with a BSc in Public Administration. While attending the University of Liberia, he served as the vice president of the Quardu Gboni District University Students Association (QUAGBODUSA) in 2014 and went on to become the president proper in 2016. He holds "A" certificate in education from the Intensive Teacher Training Institution (ITTI), and also has a diploma in Computer Science from the Inter Digital Computer School in 2009. He served as Principal of the Rhemy Academy School System from 2015-2017.
He is the former Secretary General of the Quardu Gboni Larger Society and also the former SG of the Quardu Gboni Humanitarian Services. He is also the former Secretary of the Quardu Gboni Ebola task force. Since then, Mr. Kamara continues to contribute to the growth and development of our community through his humanitarian gestures as a young man.
