In Sierra Leone, 50 needy children have been given a brighter chance at education thanks to a generous scholarship donation. Through SLAHA-USA, the Hodson Family, Lady Jemma Rodney, and Jehovah Prayer Sanctuary, led by Mother June Headley, a total of $1,000 USD was donated to support vulnerable children at United Mission Secondary School and YADO Primary School in Cola Tree, Calaba Town, Freetown.

The donation, aimed at orphans, out-of-school children, and children of single mothers, provided each student with NLe 450 to help cover school expenses. This January 2026 contribution marks 20 years of continuous educational support from Trinidad & Tobago families through the Kids in Africa platform.

Parents, guardians, and students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors, promising to study hard and honor the investment in their lives. They look forward to sharing their academic achievements with their benefactors as a testament to the impact of this support.

For those inspired to make a difference, you can reach out to Dr. Janet Kosia Wurie at +1 (571) 572-6060, or Mr. Abdulai Bangura, SLAHA Chairman in Sierra Leone, at +232 77 272970 or
