Three individuals have been arrested following a joint drug enforcement operation carried out in C.V.I., Grand Gedeh County, early Saturday morning.

The operation, led by Deputy Director for Operations Patrick Kamasu (Unit 702) along with officers of the Grand Gedeh County Detachment, was conducted under a search warrant issued by the Putu Magisterial Court. Authorities say the raid took place around 6:00 Am.

Those arrested include Musu Smith, 38, a Liberian John Kollie, 39, also Liberian and Victoria Obi, a 30 year old Nigerian national of Igbo descent.

According to officers, a search of the premises led to the discovery of illegal drugs believed to be intended for distribution. Musu Smith was found with approximately one kilogram of ma*****na valued at about USD $100 (LRD 19,000), along with a quantity of tramadol pills estimated at LRD 92,500.

John Kollie was also found in possession of one kilogram of ma*****na with a similar street value.

Meanwhile, Victoria Obi was allegedly in possession of tramadol pills valued at approximately LRD 192,500 (about USD $1,013).
Authorities say all seized items have been properly documented and secured as evidence.

The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing further investigation as the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency continues its efforts to combat illegal drug activities in the county.
