PLEEBO, Maryland County — Bone’s Foundation has donated LD$250,000 to senior high school students preparing to sit the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Pleebo, Maryland County.
The donation ceremony was held at Bone’s Lounge in Pleebo and brought together students, teachers, school administrators, and community members.
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Mr. Anthony Friday Nathan described the contribution as a humanitarian gesture from Mr. Adolphus Bone William aimed at supporting students during an important stage of their academic journey.
According to Nathan, many students face financial challenges while preparing for the regional examination, and the support is intended to ease some of those burdens and help them remain focused on their studies.
“Some students are less fortunate and struggle to meet their daily academic needs. This assistance is intended to motivate and encourage them as they prepare for WASSCE,” he said.
Also speaking at the program, Johnson Twaaiklee encouraged the candidates to remain disciplined, confident, and committed to achieving academic success. He urged the students to make Maryland County proud through good performance in the examinations.

Several students noted that many candidates have been struggling to afford lunch and other basic needs during their examination preparation.
“This donation is timely and highly appreciated. We thank Mr. Adolphus Bone William for thinking about us,” a student representative said.
Mr. Adolphus Bone William is widely recognized in Pleebo District for his continued support to educational and humanitarian initiatives, particularly those benefiting young people.
Teachers and school administrators attending the event praised the gesture, stating that the donation would help boost students’ morale and increase confidence ahead of the upcoming WASSCE examinations.
