Have you seen Monrovia like this before? This is Ashmun street in 1890. In the photo, you can see the First United Methodist Church, which was established in 1822. The old photo was published in a book by Johann Büttikofer, a zoologist from Switzerland. The church is still standing on Ashmun street. But the surroundings now look very different.
