We are honored that Katukelle Jumma Masjid, Kandy has been featured in the March 2026 edition of Explore Sri Lanka magazine, with our beautiful mosque also appearing on the cover page.

This recognition highlights the mosque’s heritage, architecture, and its role as a place of faith, unity, and community in the hills of Kandy.

In response to the recent floods that have affected many areas across Sri Lanka, relief efforts continue at KRCC (Kandy Relief Coordinating Centre).

On 11th of December 2025, Hon. Dr. Hinduma Sunil Senevi, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka, visited KRCC and toured the Katukelle Jumma Mosque, observing the ongoing coordination and relief activities.

KRCC remains committed to collecting funds and delivering assistance directly to flood-affected families.

Recent floods have caused severe destruction across many parts of Sri Lanka, leaving numerous families in urgent need of support.

On 07.12.2025, Hon. Muneer Mulaffer, Deputy Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs, visited Katukelle Jumma Mosque – KRCC (Kandy Relief Coordinating Center) to observe the ongoing relief efforts.

He is currently continuing his visits to other affected areas, including Gampola and Geliyoya.

KRCC serves as a central point for collecting funds and distributing aid directly to those impacted by the floods.
