Provides Artificial Limbs The Colombo Friend-in-Need Society (CFINS) is the oldest Charitable Organisation in Sri Lanka.
Established originally in the year 1831 under the Patronage of then Governor Sir Edward Barnes, the Society has now completed over 175 years of service to the people of Sri Lanka. The CFINS has continued to this day the tradition of having the country’s Head of State as its ex-officio Patron. Mindfulness Session for Amputees at CFINS
A special training session for amputees was held at the Colombo Friend-in-Need Society (CFINS) on 13th November 2025, conducted by Col Raj Vijayasiri. The workshop included a session on meditation and helping amputees cope with their emotions and grief .
We sincerely appreciate Col Vijayasiri for dedicating his valuable time and expertise to guide and support our amputees. His encouragement greatly contributed to CFINS's ongoing efforts to offer psychological support to individuals with limb loss to lead confident and independent lives.
