Kaludiya Pokuna Archaeological Forest Site, located in Kandalama, is an ancient monastic settlement dating back to the 2nd century BC. Hidden within the dry-zone forest, the site features the remains of meditation paths, an uposathaghara, parivena cells, bathhouses, and other stone-built structures that reveal the depth of early Buddhist monastic life. A calm, atmospheric landscape where history, nature, and spirituality blend seamlessly.
