Futsal Arena was declared open by Mr. Robert Peiris, Vice President - Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) on 29th August 2015. Mr. E B Anthony - Secretary General of FFSL and Mr. Wilson Fernando graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.
The first match was played between Renown over 40 and Java Lane over 40. The nail biting game between the veterans ended with Renown emerging as the winners of the match where the score was 6-5.
