๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ด๐ฏ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ: Game Day at Maradana as high riding Zahira College host resurgent S. Thomas' College in what turns out to be a blockbuster game on a gloomy Saturday in the Dialog Schools Rugby League, organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA). Due to the prevailing weather conditions, the match has been advanced to 3.30pm but there won't be any short in entertainment as both sides will look to stamp their authority early on in a must win game to secure their place in the Cup Championship. Zahira Tankers shocked the Royal Tuskers last week at the Complex as they ran wild after a historic win, which came after 63 years. They are all geared to repeat another historic win on their home soil, against Thomians that's eluded them since winning last in 1971. Zahira College and S.Thomas' College first met in Rugby back in 1958, and the battle soon gained a reputation for it's intensity and rivalry as both dished out some entertaining games between 1958-1964 where Thomians winning 4 and Zahirians winning 2 of those, 1959 and 1964 before a break to the battle till 1971. Zahirians won again in 1971 and Thomians returned with a win in 1973. Thereafter there was a long break until both teams met again in 2001, followed by 2017 and 2025 all won by Thomians. Thomians after their early slipup this year regrouped and bounced back well to win back to back matches and keep their hopes alive. Zahirians have been a sensation this year, remaining unbeaten and can the Tankers deliver another historic win or will Thomian grit prevail?
Here's wishing both sides a great game!

๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ด๐ฏ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ: All eyes on sky's above as we head into a stormy weekend of 04th Week of Dialog Schools Rugby League, organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA). The weather God took a twist from serving months of extreme heat to pouring bucket loads of rain over the past few days, casting doubts over the suitability of match venues and hosting matches during a crucial weekend. Trinitians are coming down for the first time to Colombo for a League encounter as they will be hosted by Senanayakians at the Havelock Park on Saturday, one of 06 games to be played on a predicted stormy Saturday, while Isipathanians are heading to the hills to take on Sumangalians at Pallekele. A crunch game, a battle of the Blues, Josephians hosting Wesleyites, while Anandians hosting fancied Peterites at Rajagiriya. Mahanamians and Cambrians, looking for their first win, will battle at Ratmalana, and the Big Battle will be at Maradana as the high-riding Zahirians host resurgent Thomians. On Sunday, at Nittwaela, Antonians who found the winning mojo will take on Lumbini, who is still searching for it, and the same goes to Kingswoodians, who are winless and hosting battle-scarred Royalists at Pallekele. Back at Mt. Lavinia, struggling Science up against Thurstanites who found the art of winning and looking to enter the Cup Championship. Few doors will open or close for some this weekend, provided the weather God is kind...
Here's wishing all teams a great weekend!
